For me, it was dull, repetitive and boring.

I wouldn't bother playing it for free, let alone pay a subscription.

Good thing there's a trial. Give it a go... you'll love it or hate it.

Do give it a try tho, see if you like it. Just don't be like this guy: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1915521

A lot of my friends play and they say its awesome. I had no interest at first but now im serious on buying it. The only problem is that i hear that its really addicting and people play it hours at a time. I was wondering if this is true or not bc i may get it for the summer and play it until school starts again. Do you think i would be able to quit easily or should i not even bother getting it.

Personally I think the game is too easy, age level about 10-16, the easy of it made me quit. Doesen't take long to get to lvl 80 either, althought i do say it looks pretty, and for a true warcraft fan it'll be hard to quit. But then again I say this after playing Anarchy-Online for a couple of years which has a learning curve of about 6-8 months, as opposed to WoW's 1-2 months. So, it just depends on your preferences of a game.

Thanks for your posts guys! I love the responses! Seems like I've played most of these. With a few exceptions such as KOTOR, Freelancer, X-Com, TIE Fighter, Wing Commander, and X-WIng Alliance. But no one mentioned Anarchy-Online :( Half-Life 2 Series: Great storyline, kept me interesting. Homeworld Series: (Never played Cataclysm) Loved it, Homeworld 1 is one of the best space RTS. Freelancer: Looks like a more complex version of Freespace. Deux Ex: Godly :) Quake 4: Quake 3. X-Com: LoL old game. Probably good. Mass Effect: Slow, yes; The story kept me going, it was pretty epic. Sins of a Solar Empire: Whoooaaa so complicated. Freespace: Like a roller coaster. Halo 1: Indeed, only the first one is good.

What is the best sci-fi game that you guys have played? It can be an RTS, FPS, or any other type as long as it's Sci-Fi.

Aliens. vs Predator 2 Aliens. vs Predator 2 Primal Hunt -- both good games, too bad Sierra turned off the master server. Half-Life 2 & Episodes -- wow, try playing the whole series in one sitting Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay -- Not really alien, but has a great story which connects to the rest of the series(Pitch Black, Dark Fury, & THE Movie)

I had the same problem, it works with older versions of hamachi, i forget which. If that won't work, try reverting to older patches.

Sims 3 looks a lot better. The major thing that did it for me is the fact that there is hardly ever a load screen. This allows more interaction with the sims world as when you zoom out you can see everything and everyone... -_- so, i'd say it's worth it!
