@Spaceweed10 Yeah, OK, so I just have no idea what I'm talking about, huh? Tell me WHY I'm speaking "rubbish" and back up your claim or GTFO.

Do you think the cockpits look nice or something? That the audio is any good? I think it's YOU that's speaking rubbish.

Well, sure GRID 2 was a completely different game than GRID 1 but at least for an arcade racer it at least did it somewhat correctly. Sure handling was bad compared to the first but for the style of game that GRID 2 was it made sense and did well (well at least in the few hours I put into it).

Autosport however is obviously meant to be more simulator-like. That's it's goal. It failed at that. I mean, I don't know what sims YOU'RE playing but I know the ones I play like Project CARS, iRacing, Assetto Corsa, etc don't handle poorly like Autosport...not to mention that, again, GRID 1 was much better.

Yes, GRID 1 wasn't a simulator but it did the sim-arcade perfectly. Autosport took too much of the arcade out and forgot to replace it with something good. To me just due to the handling alone it's a fail.

This game is not that good, subjectively.

As a long time racing fan (I got the cockpit, racing wheels, triple monitors, etc) I don't see how anyone that knows what they're talking about or doing when it comes to racing games can like this one.

Car handling is, quite frankly, horrible. It's like it takes all the worst from sim and arcade and combines them. You have to brake wayyy too early and take corners wayyy too slow or else you might as well just drive right past them. Seriously, the cars feel like driving bricks. Way too arcade-ish where it shouldn't be and way too sim where it shouldn't be.

There is NO sense of speed. I'm playing the game at max settings with a 70+ average framerate yet even going 80MPH I FEEL like I'm going about 25MPH. People can hate on games like Shift 2 all they want but at least that game made you feel like you were going fast. This game doesn't though and it's quite jarring. GRID 1 didn't have this issue so I don't know where this comes from. I've never seen anything like this and would really like to know how they pulled it off!

Cockpit view is an absolute joke and insult. All they did was move the camera into the inside of the low-poly car model. There's no free looking (looking left/right/behind are just instant snap to views with no interior drawn) and the dash/wheel are way too low in view. Cockpit view seems like more of an after though or user mod then actual legit work. Like, how can you have cockpit view but not have decent cockpits? Again, GRID 1 had them YEARS ago!

Sound is rubbish. Period. Some of the worst I've heard.

Game play over all is just the same ole same ole. Also, I'd like to know how categories like "drifting" made it's way into a game like this. None of the other racing styles are in anyway related. F1...LeMans...high performance street racing..........drifting? Huh? Why not throw Gymkhana into the mix for the ultimate in confusion and worthless events you HAVE to do!!!

So yeah...if you like the game then cool. I just know that to me it's mediocre at best and in no way comes close to even out doing GRID 1...a game that still beats it's newer brethren.

How can Autosport be the developers apology for wreck that was GRID 2 (or at least seem like it) and still make a worse game? How are we THREE games into the series yet the first one from 2008...SIX YEARS AGO...is still the BEST one in EVERY way? Like, has is that even POSSIBLE? How do these peoples games get worse with every installment? It's mind boggling.

4 out of 10 for me. Graphics are really nice (bar the car models) but other than that everything else is average to downright bad or confusing.

If Rockstar was a actual person I'd marry them. Gender doesn't matter.

Was the money I spent on my AMD 7970 worth it? Yes. Yes it was. This is a pretty good example for you console gamer's to see why.

I honestly believe that a lot of console gamers would go PC if they actually saw the difference in person. My brother gave me crap about spending $1100 on my PC until he looked at my version of GTA 4 with HD textures, iCEnhancer, and car models with more detail than any racing game ever made all while running at 2560x1440 at frame rates higher than the ~30 or so of consoles. He is now a PC gamer and has told me more than once that he could never go back to consoles. Are PC's more expensive? Yes they are, but you get so much more out of them. Not to mention the fact that with services like Steam and GMG PC gamers get the pleasure of being able to get games much cheaper much sooner than console gamers. I think I got Borderlands 2 for like $35 the day it came out from GMG. Those savings in games add up quick. Not to mention DA GRAFICS!!! :-D

Back to Bioshock Infinite: The 1337 Edition...
