@nikolistary: You don't seem to get room scale. It's not for 'walking everywhere', it's more about sense of presence. Picking up a grenade that landed behind you, dodging gunfire, sword fighting, lying prone etc. These are all much more immersive in room scale.

I'm yet to find a VR game where you 'physically walk around everywhere'. You don't smash your face against a wall, a visible net appears in front of you to show where the wall is.

Arizona is ok, but you won't be able to dual-wield, blind fire behind you etc with the aim.

I tried Psvr but it was unplayably bad after playing Oculus and Vive, the motion detection is off, and the controllers are just wrong. Oculus Touch really does feel like you're holding the item, I loved my Vive too, but the controllers aren't anywhere near as good as Touch. If you really do adore VR and aren't just being a fanboy, then I'd upgrade to Oculus or Vive. Psvr is so watered down, it just didn't feel like real VR to me.

There is now a multiplayer sword fighting game out (Deus Vult), wouldn't be possible on Psvr, same as boxing, and Onward is arguably the best VR game out but just isn't the same without room-scale.

It's about the immersion, not the effort.

Nope, I don't get this one. The gameplay is so thin that it feels like a mod for a different game. This is designed for third-person, you can play first-person but you are giving up a huge handicap as anyone in third-person willl be able to spot you first, especially in long grass and around corners of buildings. Why on earth would anyone want to play a shooter in third-person anyway? Rust on a battle royale server is a much better version of the same game.

You guys have no idea what a good movie is. It's really cringeworthy to hear people pretending that these generic action movies are anything other than terrible. I don't understand why you review movies, when you have such awful taste.

@darkelf83: Only Native? Native is true 4k. So PS4 games that had a native resolution of 1080p, was that not true 1080 then?

I've got a feeling they will announce Oculus support. I couldn't care less about what company I buy from, but if that's true then I'd want the native 4k capable machine with room-scale VR. I think it's going to be announced because the Scorpio specs say 'high fidelity virtual reality'. Xbox One controllers were sold with Oculus Rift and there is an Xbox app for Oculus.

Switch is quickly shaping up to be the worst console ever. All these games could have been released on Wii U and some even on Wii. Nintendo just release games that appeal to the lowest common denominator in order to make the most money.

Robo Recall was recently released for Oculus, it's definitely one of the best games in VR so far, and it's free! Oh and the price of Oculus Rift with Touch just dropped by $200. Not a bad 'strategy'. HTC now needs to release better hardware to compete.
Robo Recall now has locomotion mod.

@gamingdevil800: All platforms have exclusives. Vive definitely has exclusives, Steam's openvr made all games compatible with Rift and some of those games still advertise as Vive only. Audioshield, Vanishing Realms, Raw Data all feel much better on Rift. Oculus will do great, they are making great games and It felt like a huge upgrade when I switched from Vive. I hope HTC come up with something even better next generation, I just want the best product, whoever makes it. The fanboy nonsense is more of a cancer than exclusives. I can't tell some people how much better the experience is now because of all the fanboy bs. Instead of being sore that someone else released better tech, you should be happy that VR is improving.

@timmyp1982: VR is just kicking off. Definitely not a 'gimmick', it's a completey new perspective and new level of gaming immersion, best not to use words you don't understand. There will be future generations of VR, can't be so certain about consoles. There's no skill/ immersion in twiddling your thumbs, mashing a button repeatedly will never compare to physically swinging a sword or landing an uppercut. Onward is one of the most tense, immersive games I've ever played, no flat-screen shooter comes close. As VR evolves and more players try it, those flat-screen games will feel dull to them too. It's a matter of time, consoles will have to adopt (proper) VR to survive. Robo Recall is a sick game!

Oculus Touch is awesome. I have loved being an early adopter and it's great the price has come down so much. VR has turned a corner now with lower price and studio produced games. Robo Recall was released yesterday and it's one of the best VR games so far, oh and it's free for Touch owners. I'm starting to find games on a flat screen really dull, no immersion.
