Why doesn't Rim try using android on there new phones instead? They would become more relevant again probably. Not as relevant as samsung, HTC,etc but they could atleast be at a start.

That idea makes no sense. Bb phones are made to integrate with the is. Android on bb would cause major problems and make them irrelevant anyway.

Remember when everyone had and wanted a blackberry? It was like "THE" smartphone everyone wanted. The first major one.

Ok, so Windows is pretty much force upon many people, but that invincible boat has been showing some signs of running out of cola and Windows 8 is helping that coal storage to go down more. Yes it's not backbreaking but it is signifigant, however I believe Windows 8 was made for another reason. A Sacrifice of sorts. Windows 8's interface literally runs in all Windows Phones, and Runs with the Surface Tablet. MS is using its Windows superiority, to slowly gain large footholds in the Tablet and Cellphone industry, as well as the Xbox 360 given the recent updates to the interface. Windows Phone 8 may not have supr jumped to Android and IOS levels, but its existence has hurt and in some cases helped kill off some Phone competitors making the phone market basically a 3 phone monopoly outside of finland. Microsoft has also done a interesting job with its Surface tablets, which have already beaten competition, and the rise of Bing on both PC, Xbox, Tablet, and Phone and its increasing reputation are causing fast marketshare rises. The only device not seeming to gain a large foothold is the Windows Phone, although not a failure like Windows Phone 7, and WP8 did as I said, help injure and kill many competitors, heck, Nokia switched to WP. The MS Tablet has made a mark, and the XBOX had definitely made a mark., I think it's clear that with Windows having a chance of losing altitude, MS wants to corner all markets and force companies and people to adopt to their ways as with Windows. Providing similar interfaces in each device to get people to jump in(pun intended) to the experience. But think about what would happen, if Windows PC happened with Tablets and Cell Phones?

The fact that in under 8 months from the start of 2011 Black Berry market share WW skidooed down so fast it was like punching themselves with concrete. As of now, they are practically irrelevant. Other than the justified Backlash for the Limited Porshe branded Blackberry costing over 2000 when it was nothing but a 9900 that was actually gimped in its already gimped features for the "premium" device, they have been working on great phones for awhile now. I do notice that it has been a long while since their latest Phone which i believe was start of 2012 end of 2011, and they have tried touch screen variations, but I wanted to know what all the doom fuse was about for the people who talk about BlackBerry and the lack of knowledge from those who don't. How far behind where they really? Just what are they doing wrong? I am amazed by how freaking outdated their phones are even with things like a torch. Using Versus IO or what not, it shows the advantage of low-end Iphone 5 16GB against the best Black Berry Phones: http://versusio.com/en/apple-iphone-5-16gb-vs-rim-blackberry-curve-9360http://versusio.com/en/apple-iphone-5-16gb-vs-rim-blackberry-curve-9380http://versusio.com/en/apple-iphone-5-16gb-vs-rim-blackberry-torch-9850http://versusio.com/en/apple-iphone-5-16gb-vs-rim-blackberry-bold-touch-9910 However, still it's unclear what RIM is actually doing wrong, The Playbook Tablet was pretty Ace at the time and even still Ace with the update and that thing rose a little and basically fell off and is still getting more and more unsupported(outside of RIM themselves) nobody is even selling it barely. They have invester riding on the BlackBerry 10 OS (skipping 3 numbers.) which may not matter if they don't change pace. they already laid off hundreds of thousands in the less than 2 years. TL:DR, What does RIM need to do to sell more Phones? What is Blackberry missing from other phones? Features? Marketing? Price Cut? What? Even Sony Phones are selling more.

I have never seen a downloaded video that had quality equalling that of blu-ray. Think about the amount of data on a blu-ray disc. That have massive capacity. Now think about the file size of a movie that you can download/stream. It's not even close.

Yes, downloadable video will eventually move to a standard higher than what blu-ray can provide, but we are years away from that. Eventually we will get to where you can stream or download 4k videos with high-quality audio. That is when Blu-ray will be obsolete. For now, it is definitely the best way to get the highest quality video and audio for movies and such.

But I can download movies above 1080p which bluesy cannot do, and your main argument in your post is ONLY picture quality.

Where can you download movies above 1080p? What screen do you watch them on? What video format do they use? Also, blu-ray has superior audio quality as well.

You got me at audio quality, the only devices I have researched that surpass it significantly is sou d are those computers with integrated beats audio and those cosy MAC levels.

Which this is 2012, and tech experts are having side by side comparisons where something above 1080p looks better than bluesy. What you say is true but only if both are at 1080p, please do research. Downloaded videos are compressed. a 4k downloaded movie is going to have way more artifacts and jaggies than an uncompressed 1080p blu ray. Blu ray video/audio quality is FAR less compressed than anything you can download. Please do some research.

[QUOTE="fragile_soul"]I love it, more than my PSP and 3DS I'm afraid Sony will discontinue the vita if the sales don't pick up. And probably focusing on ps4 launch.... Why da fark isn't the vita selling? It's got amazing games and power, plus dual analog. The no games argument is not valid anymore... Because it does not have downgraded ports of popular games other than uncharted. The pap had more. Its to damn big and the sticks are lose. They MAKE you use the toch screen for menu with no alternative. They won't drop price. .they don't advertise. 56544 promises were broken at launch. Like the go, no bc. I can get a 16gb flash drive full price at $12-$15 why would I pay $50 for one? Especilly since its not much space and the higher ones are like over 100. Its not in hd. Im gonna cry and play New Little King Story now ....
