you're having the same problem i am (and many others). it requires 10.5.3, and im guessing you're running 10.4.11 or something. basically, it wants leopard, we have tiger. (OT: tigers>leopards). if you're savvy someone has suggested on here that you can edit the system requirements and it'll run. others have said it'll run without sound (personally not a big issue for me i went 2 years without having the sound on in WoW). as for actually getting this to work? i'll get back to you if i figure it out. i dont speak programmer!! >.
i tried googling it, and this is where ended up. >.< i tried going their site and i needed to log in, and the only way to create an acct was to have spore running.
the race you're talking about is a Draenei. and it really depends what you want out of the game as to what class you should play. wowwiki has a full discussion on it.
my personal opinion: Priest. best class in the game =p

I just bought Spore, and am attempting to load it onto my macbook pro. no, i am not running leopard, i don't have enough money atm to buy it **32k for school.** so, after reading the other forum post ( GameSpot Forums - Spore - Mac Install Help) i tried to follow along what artkpembleton suggested.
after almost 20 minutes, it is still at 80.4 MB. there is naught in the c_drive folder but Windows, and naught in that folder but space for rent.
