You are confusing... Android runs java programs, which runs on all major platforms. But you have such high praise of Unix... yet OSX is also based on UNIX.... Fact is Windows has all the games. THEN Mac, THEN Linux.Okay so how do you guys feel about gaming on Linux... before MS drones infest this place saying "Lol Linux has no games". I know that... I understand that Linux ain't getting much support at the moment but you have to agree that it gets more and more support year after year. Especially with Valve now involved. They've been steadily porting their STEAM library to Linux and eventually will make the big jump. Also Android platform which is based on UNIX is getting more ground. What I want to say is that eventually publishers will see all the potential and benefits a free open source platform has which is not only open but also very powerful.

Gamers should support Linux more than ever before...
PS: I won't even bother talking about MAC hipsters...
[QUOTE="AntiType"][QUOTE="CallOfDutyRulez"]Prove it. I find OSX to be MUCH more stable than Windows. Apple has some great programmers. How about IE vs Safari? There is no debate which is the better browser. iOS vs Windows phone? xCode vs Visual Studio? New IE beats Safari and pretty much everything but Chrome in benchmarks. And if you think xCode is superior to VS you're an idiot. There is absolutely nothing that matters that xCode beats VS in, other than natively supporting iOS. Windows Phone 8 is a quality OS, though far less developed than iOS, which can be attributed to the fact that it's pretty new. There has been mobile versions of Windows since 2000, iOS was first released in 2007 I believe. Instead of stating an opinion and calling me an idiot, why don't you actually state some REASONS why VS. I feel like I am talking to a 10 year old otherwise. With windows, most problems are a relatively easy fix and they're mostly due to incompatible settings that a user has.
With Macs, it deals with the unstable core behind OSX. They're impossible to fix because Apple sucks at programming.

[QUOTE="AntiType"] OMG a forum with issues getting stuff to work on OSX? Geez lets search the internet... NOPE can't find ANY such thing for windows. :roll:jun_aka_pekto

Who is doing the programming for Steam's Mac client? Is it Apple or Steam itself?
Valve I assume. It's up to them to optimize their program for the OS. I suspect similar issues with Linux.OMG a forum with issues getting stuff to work on OSX? Geez lets search the internet... NOPE can't find ANY such thing for windows.[QUOTE="AntiType"][QUOTE="CallOfDutyRulez"]
Apple-made = lower quality.
Apple couldn't engineer themselves out of a paper bag. They're useless except at drawing pretty rectangles.

This is the mac section for Steam. Just look at how many people are complaining about crashing/issues. One the first page alone:
Please help. Steam mouse problem
steam for mac needs to restart to change mic input
Steam Client stuck on Launch
Font suddenly decides to become Helvetica and I can't change it back.
Steam don't work after 1st launching
Steam games crashing in OSX
Even more proof: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=892
Trouble Playing TF2
CS:GO Crashes EVERY Play session....
Cannot get pass the loading screen (TF2)
GMod Errors
CS:GO MIC PROBLEM !!!
And much much more. Note that these 2 sections ARE NOT for error/tech-related errors. It's a general forum for mac users and it's littered with technical complaints.
I'm sure that you can go grab an Econometric software and find a linear regression between the amount of complaints vs. the total amount of threads created there. I'm sure the Correlation Coefficient will be greater than .70.
Oops, I forgot. You're a mac user and you don't even know basic statistics. How silly of me.

I don't get why anyone would pay so much for an inferior OS.
Windows is far more intuitive, productive, powerful and stable.
