i have owned my 360 since feb 2006 and have had no issues... the only reason you hear so much about the RRoD is because the happy people with no problems have no reason to voice their (lack of) issues everywhere. FWIW my 360 has been everywhere from lying down in a college entertainment center with other stuff right under it, to standing free on its own, and i haven't noticed any differences regardless of space or position, other then if there's no disc in the tray when its standing up, you need to tap the tray to get it to eject... as long as the weight of a disc is in there, its perfect. don't miss out on the games you want because of some other people's unfortunate experiences...

depends on your taste, but i'd say: BioShock The Orange Box (HL2 + episodes + PORTAL) Forza 2 - my personal favorite to keep going back to in between other games.

if you want it shearly for the online aspect, COD4 is far and away the better game. TF2 is fun, but IMO it's the weakest part of the Orange Box. i know there are people that will disagree with that, but take it for what its worth... that said, the Orange Box is one of the best single-player experiences you can get out of a single box... HL2 and the 2 episodes are classic games that have held up great over time, and portal is incredibly funny and a great puzzle game, even if only a few hours long.

Forza is a safe choice, especially if you're a fan of the sim aspect, because none of the other games have that... if you're leaning toward the arcade action, PGR4 is the obvious choice for road racing... after my 10 minutes spent in the sega rally demo, i think DiRT is far better - do you want a rally game focused on the environment or one focused on the cars? no-brainer for me.

still having the issue, despite EA claiming to have done some "work" on the servers... i've posted on both the xbox.com and the EA forums about this problem, but no response yet from EA - only from people with similar problems.

I've searched and haven't found anything relavent to my issue on here... not only am i getting the "ea servers are down" issue when trying to connect to Game Face, but also when trying to do ANYTHING online... i can't play a match, i can't post to gamernet, i can't get the EA ticker... nothing works. my xbox live is working fine on every other game, and i'm still connected to live when in TW08, but i'm apparently blocking a necessary port for EA's servers... any help would be greatly appreciated.

dude give it a chance... it's certainly not as blindly easy as TH, but i would hate it immediately if it were... after 2 play-throughs on the demo, i really got the feel for it. now the controls are second nature, much the way TH's become, and i would NEVER want to go back to the old "a-to-jump, y-to-grind" BS.

personally, he's never been my choice, but i can understand why he's chosen by others... if you don't want to identify with a certain character, he's really your only choice, being that he's wearing a standard GI uniform. Everyone else has their own look and persona... Carmine's just a faceless little biatch. That's why he's dead.
