Okay, straight to the point. I hated Final Fantasy X with a passion since it came out, and I still do. While all my friends who played it thought it was the best in the series, I hated everything about it, I saw through the nice visuals to see what a hollow, trivial and incipit game it was. As soon as Squaresoft became Square-Enix I lost all hope in them.

Final Fantasy X had a very boring story to me compared to IV and VII (my two favorite FF story-lines), the concept of killing God was appealing to me but, the way they went about it was just so damn boring and transparent to say the least. Tidus, the most annoying protagonist in any Final Fantasy (apart from FF X-2 which seems like it was made a bad game on purpose), was the sort of character you wanted to beat to death with a frozen fish.

One of the key things I remember about my childhood when playing Final Fantasy IV, V, VI, VII, and even VIII was that by the end of it you felt like you had accomplished something. FF X was literally Tidus plays some stupid water ball game, he's tasked with killing God (also his dad), lame/boring stuff happens, daddy dies, the end. Wow what a journey.

I saw Final Fantasy X as the beginning of the end for my love in Squaresoft/Square-Enix. FF X-2 seemed like it was made like a piece of crap on purpose to be a filler, FF XI was okay, FF XII was X all over again with the crap characters and hollow plot, FF XIII I couldn't stand, the whole healing after each battle and everything stripped the game of needing any thought. People have told me "Nah you need the auto healing because it gets harder, Blah blah i'm a dickhead because I haven't played the PS1 Final Fantasy's so I just assume that the PS2/PS3 ones are the best." I haven't had the misfortune of playing FF XIV and I hope i never do.

FF X and onwards appeals to some people and that's fine but, they are highly overrated and very, very transparent games. I don't know why they get so much hype.

So for all our sakes Square-Enix, stop making crap FF games and just remake VII and make millions and millions of your fans happy. You claim you don't have the time, yet you have all the time and money in the world to push out crap release after crap release.
