Fantastic. I so agree. I'm all about online RTS titles, and C&C3 is a waste. Supreme Commanders patches have heavily improved the game, and now with weekly tournamens it's only getting better.
Hmmmm...well i would not recommend WoW to anyone over 15. But I'm not a FF Online fan either. One is just mindlessly easy and filled with kids and fools. The other is just one big grind. Tough choice, I'd choose neither imo.
I usually try and play most games on the hardest setting right from the start. Except for a rare few, I usually eventually get through the game. I want a real challenge every time I play, especially if I plan on going online with it after the single player section is done. My beef with so many games nowdays is just how easy and simple they are to beat. Accessible to a broader range almost always means the difficulty has been dumbed down. Now a few games are just to tough to beat on hard from the start, some because they are bad games with balance issues, and some are just damn hard for good reason.
PC gaming is, and always will be, where the real hardcore gamers are. The tech is always cutting edge and the games are always pushing things even more. Consoles are good for those who like that kind of thing, but while PC gaming may not have the widespread appeal, there is no question that gameplay, graphics and innovation will always be better on a PC. I kind of like consoles just so the lil kids can go play them and leave the real games to the rest of us. Not that consoles don't have some great games and players mind you. PC FTW!!
As long as they don't screw up the game during the transfer to PC, I think it will be awesome. My PC owns a console in every way, so I am really looking forward to this title...which is one of the few reasons I have ever bothered renting/borrowing a console in the first place. Gonna be sweet.
Well lets see....CoH is great. D&D Online has come a long way too...I was a bit dissapointed in it a t first, but it finally has its legs under it now and has some great quests, stories etc...not the mindlessly easy stuff like in WoW and others. I totally despise the new LOTR game, I wasted a ton of time on the Beta that I wish I could get back. CoV is great too. Of course Guild Wars. Other than those your options are kinda limited. SWG, the EverQuest series etc... appeal to some, but I would not recomend them.
