Let's-A-Play!

Finally started New Super Mario Bros. Wii! :D

Got all the Star Coins in World 1 (thanks to the lovely guide here on GameSpot :P) so I'm currently on World 2.

A Winner Is Me!

Finally beat New Super Mario Bros... the DS version! :D

STILL haven't started the Wii version, because I get through TWO school projects IN ONE WEEK first. :x

Traded 2 games for one

Went to GameStop and traded in Mario Party 8 + Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games for New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

I think I got a good deal. :)

Another Update + 3 new games!

Hello, everyone! I'm back with my (hopefully) monthly blog post! :D

The past two months have been interesting, to say the least. I started a few new anime series, got my computer de-bugged, and many other things relating to school. Nothing too out of the ordinary... right? :P

Today I went to GameStop to get Pokemon Platinum, since 1. It was the main thing on my birthday wishlist, and 2. I needed something to play at Relay for Life tommorow. However, they were having a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" deal, so I ended up getting New Super Mario Bros. and Zelda: Twilight Princess along with Platinum, which were two games I was considering getting anyway. So with that purchase, I will soon begin my first adventure into Hyrule... wish me luck. :P

Also, Happy Birthday to me on Wednesday. Sweet 16, baby! :D

OMG, a blog post! =O

It sure has been a while since I last posted! (Geez, I REALLY need to post more)

Anyway, quite a bit's happened since last time. My friend got me into this "danmaku" shooter series called "Touhou" about a month ago. I'm not very good at it right now (I can only beat Easy mode on few of the games), but I'm practicing... a lot. :P

On a related note, the 12th game of the series, "Undefined Fantastic Object" has it's demo available now! :D

BTW, if you have an account on Doujin$tyle, you can friend me if you want. Profile name is the same as this one. :)

Aside from Touhou, I also completed all the after-story tasks on MySims Kingdom today! All I need to do now is get the rest of the figurines and armor pieces, and then I can say that I completed the game 100%. Thoughts on this game and others coming... whenever I feel like typing them. :P

I've been playing quite a bit of Stepmania, too. I have the Pop*Candy theme, and a whopping 171 songs! :O Currently working on a custom simfile to the Nico Nico Douga Electrical Parade Dreamlights MAD, and I have no idea when that'll be done. BTW, does anyone know how to display video in the background of a simfile, because apparently just placing it into a folder doesn't do the trick.

Sonic and the Black Knight has also come out this week.

Since I was interested, I looked up cutscenes and gameplay videos on Youtube, since I don't intend on getting this game. I thought it was cool hearing old themes from SA1 and SA2 in the game, and it made me think "Nostalgia!" I've never played either of those games (*is shot*), but it was a welcome addition IMO. The cutscenes look different (and in my opinion, much better looking) than SatSR, and they look nice. The [OMGPlotTwist!] in the Last Story kind of caught me by surprise, too. :P

Well, that's how things have been for me lately. How have you guys been?

Last blog of 2008

Happy New Year, everyone! Wait, 2008 is over, already?!

I got Animal Crossing: City Folk (with Wii Speak!) on Monday, so I'll be starting on that game in a couple days! Friend Code and Thoughts coming soon!

See all of you in 2009! :D

Merry Christmas!

Today is Christmas! YAY! :D

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!;)

(Don't worry, I'll try to post more on blogs and unions in 2009!):D

EDIT: I got Wii Fit, Sonic Unleashed, and MySims Kingdom for Christmas! Expect my thoughts on those soon!

Thoughts on my WiiWare games.

As you know, I finally got my Wii hooked up to the internet a couple weeks ago. Since then, I bought 2000 Wii points and spent it on Internet Channel and two WiiWare titles. Here's my thoughts on both games.

My Pokemon Ranch: For some reason, a lot of people are bashing this game. They say the game is boring and has horrible graphics. Maybe I'm not a tough critic, but I don't think the graphics are that bad, and I don't think the game is that boring. The game is SUPPOSSED to show the Pokemon in Mii style. The game is a STORAGE SYSTEM. Of course the game's not going to be extremely fun, but it can be very fun to watch. Unlike Pokemon Box for the Gamecube, you actually get to see what your Pokemon are doing when they're in the box. It's a lot more entertaining than arranging the Pokemon sprites in fancy patterns IMO. (Ok, I'll stop ranting now. :P)

Anyway, this game is a good way to store Pokemon, and see how they react to other Pokemon. Besides being a storage system, it can help you complete your Pokedex. I usually don't try to complete my Pokedex, but this game got me to catch some Pokemon I probably wouldn't have otherwise. The music is relaxing, too. I recommend this if you have Diamond or Pearl, but if you don't, then you can just skip this game. It's basically another "add-on" to D/P, after all.

My Aquarium: As soon as I saw this game for sale in the Wii Shop channel, I couldn't wait to buy it. And the best part was, I had enough Wii Points to buy it. It was ONLY 500 WII POINTS! :D

This simulator is very much like a real fish tank, which means you probably won't spend too much time at once with this. Despite that, there's still a lot to this game. There's a lot of customization involved in making the actual aquarium, since there's so many backgrounds, decorations, and lighting effects you can choose from! The selection of fish you have at the beginning is a bit small, but you can unlock more fish as you go. The music selection is good as well, filled with all sorts of classical music. (There's even Christmas songs! :P) You can even set a "special date" for the fish to do a cute dance. The fish grow over time, so even if you have a lot of small fish, they'll get bigger as time passes. I've even heard the fish can mate in this game.

My Aquarium is NOT a game, so if you're not into the laid-back experience, you can skip this. But this is a very-well done simulator that I recommend if you like the idea of having your own virtual aquarium. And at only 5 bucks, it's a pretty good deal.

Well, that's my thoughts on my current WiiWare titles. BTW, do you even know that I have my Friend Codes posted? They're on the previous blog. :)
