I can't really pick 5 individual games, so I'll opt for series which at least limits my choices... to a degree. Anyway, as far as "Series" go: 1. Metal Gear Solid (C'mon, you knew it'd have to show up again) 2. Devil May Cry (They may only be 2 "Good" games in but I have much faith in the future of the series. I enjoyed 2, but not nearly as much as 1 and 3.) 3. Resident Evil (where it started compared to now... I see good things) 4. Final Fantasy (There are vastly superior RPG's in certain respects but the fact that FF has survived 12 installments with a reasonably high fan base says volumes) 5. Silent Hill 1 & 2 (Yes, I excluded 3 & 4 because they were disgraceful. What drew me personally to SH wasn't so much the story but the ability to run around a town and find yourself in dead end after dead end, wondering which doors would actually open, and all those little things that were effectively rendered GONE by the 4th installment. I expect a return to the original formula, maybe not in a SH game but ins some survivor horror game to come.)
