shalashaska994, wait until you are running your own cables in your own house, it is a pain. Wireless is the way to go. I walk my laptop where ever I want to go, and my PS3 is wireless too. I was not about to run another line into my basement to hook up my PS3 into my WRT54G. And just so you know... the PS3 has a nice MP3 player with some cool visuals... I have 15+ GB of MP3's and every Demo I have ever downloaded, and every video I have ever downloaded still on my drive... Storage Space should not cramp your style, for any console. I did replace my 60GB with a 320GB drive.... check out my post in my blog to verify, I posted it when I did it.

Pandasuit, you are correct, in what Moore's law was originally set up to state. Gordon was talking about transistors, glad to see that some gamers are paying attention to the tech! However his law has been commonly applied to many "computer components" in general. For instance just today at Fry's I bought a .5 Terabyte drive for under $200! Do the math, that has come down in price over 3 million times since 1984 prices.... Apply Moore's law and this drive I got is at 60%, not the 70% that Moore's law says it should be! . Since you know the law, you should also know that it is commonly applied to many computer components in general. I have to say you are right on another point, the long sequential reads and writes... my 3GB SATA drive likes those. 8) Now.... as far as "lex parsimoniae", why would I go beyond what is necessary...

moose_man, you need to go back to school and take those reading comprehension classes over, because you have no clue as to what this article was telling its readers. and... you are a good example of a 360 troll. PS3'ers, please don't be like a moose_man and go bash some 360 article, just because you can opine better.

Gamespot needs a dumb $hit filter and test. If you don't pass it, you can't reply to posts like this. Guys wake up here.... This is simply showing that the PS3 is CAPABLE of using this Technology since the Sony user manual showes us how to Replace the HDD that came with our system. Yes, for now, it is not a viable solution, but again Moore's law will prove that in time(and not a lot) this tech will be good for us in terms of performance and price. Thank Sony that we have BUILT IN OPTIONS for a Mass Storage medium from the start. And to those 360 guys... you only have your expensive HDD upgrade option, because Sony gives us an option to upgrade to Any Aftermarket drive.... Microsoft needed to compete, which is good for BOTH consoles.

Moore's law has been increasingly exceeded.... This means that the capacity and speed will increase and the cost will decrease exponentially. It won't be long before I remove my 3GB SATA 320GB hard drive for one of these.... If Moore's law stopped you in your tracks and you have an intrest, google it.... Gamers should know this stuff.

After Gerstmangate, I don't trust GameSpot... So... To do this comparison, I want more information: Is this Xbox360 Elite vs PS3, ? Are we using HDMI cables, or is this Xbox360 vs PS3 and having to degrade the PS3 graphics to use the same cable that an Xbox360 can? Are you using the same HDTV for each system, that is the only way to make it fair. What about each games Video options? Have they been adjusted for each console, or are you using the out of the box default? I did a lot of tweaking on my HDTV to get it just right, and then, usually each game needs a little tweak. If you want to make a comparison, go ahead, but give more details about the test setup, because without that, we have to take too much of your word for it. ....After giving GTA 4 a TEN to a game that locks up on both consols, you dont have a lot of creditability in my book.
