I'm sure it's gonna sell, but not as well as it could have if it came out earlier this year. Many people who wanted to play ME2 already played it on 360 or the PC. I've played ME2 a bunch of times on the PC already.

The distance from the monitor to your eyes is really important. I had a 40" monitor a couple years ago. Yes, a 40" sitting on my desk, but it had to be 3-4 feet away or else I couldn't see the whole screen without turning my head too much. It's really cool (and totally geeky), but after a while, I realized it's a bit pointless and moved it to my bedroom where it works better as a TV. Right now, I have a 24" which is about a 1.5" feet away from eyes. It works out perfectly.

I don't care about GT5 at all. Not even a little bit.

The only racing games I ever liked was Burnout and that's because the goal is to force other players to crash.

I can't even remember if they had "reviews" when I had my NES, SNES, PS1, and PS2 ... I just bought games because they looked cool

Yes, and how much money did you waste on games you never played? Personally, I wasted tons. I have so many regrets for purchases I made, just because it looked cool. I used to do that, before the internet made information so widely available.

Most definitely, yes.

I simply do not have the unlimited time or money to make a completely informed decision for every game I buy. I also don't have to time to keep track of every new game being released.

The easiest way for me to ensure that I'm going to enjoy my limited gaming time? Go to metacritic (or some other meta review site), look at the highest rated games and scan the reviews.

Is there a site/page somewhere that keeps an updated list of the games that will be released this year? It would be even better if it had expected release dates and platforms. Thanks.

That would seriously be awesome for Wii owners and Telltale. I'm currently playing the first season on the PC and I'm totally enjoying it. It's old school point&click, but it's so well done, clever, funny and balanced. I've been playing 'next-gen' action games lately and this has been a really nice change of pace.

I'm seriously hoping Spore, Age of Conan, Warhammer, GTA4 and Starcraft 2 live up to the INSANE amount of hype.

Heh, I'm having a similar 'dilemma'. I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade my gaming PC or buy another console. For a hardcore techie gamer like me, this really is a dilemma that requires a LOT of thought. :)

There really is no right answer. Everyone obviously has a different perspective. Imagine what it would feel like to get each present and see how you feel.

Seriously, for an average gamer, these tier rankings don't matter that much. Even for an expert gamer, it really doesn't matter. The difference in skill between a tournament VF player and everyone else is ridiculous.

VF is fairly easy to pickup and play, but to master it requires far, far more than most people are willing to invest.

VF5 is balanced well enough that it really does not matter who you play if you just want to have fun online and with your friends. Play the fighter that suits your style and you'll have more fun and consequently probably win more often.
