Absolutely! Sands of Time has always been my favorite PoP... I think both Warrior Within and respectively The Two Thrones have a distinct spirit to them that appeals to different type of gamers. They're both remarkable games but not quite to my taste. The 2008 PoP brings back the fairytale-like image of Sands of Time but there are some gameplay issues that I didn't like that much... Yet I would say it's my second-fav. The two "classical" PoP are a different breed altogether. LOVED the original PoP although towards the end it would pose a true challenge but HATED most of the puzzles in PoP 2 and never got to finish it...

I wish you a pleasant journey through the world of PoP. A word of advice: make sure to get all the swords in Warrior Within in order to unlock the "true" ending of the game (the one that is subsequently used in The Two Thrones).

Cheers!

If you like RPGs, I would strongly recommend Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (the original and the second part as well, "The Sith Lords"). The KOTOR series is pure gold!

I really hope this is not a repost. If that's the case, I appologize (mind you, nevertheless, that I am not interested in the oldest game that you have on your hard drive ;) the devil's in the details!).

OK, here it goes: WHAT IS/ARE THE GAME/S THAT IS/ARE PERMANENTLY INSTALLED ON YOUR HD? WHEN DID YOU FIRST STARTED PLAYING THEM?

In my case, I have 5 games that are constantly installed on my HD (I changed personal computers about three times during the last 10 years, but they're still there); I never get bored of them! They are:

- Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Gray Wolf (I first played it in the 90s but reinstalled it around 2000 and has been with me ever since);

- Age of Empires II: Age of Kings (LOVE IT in an unhealthy way and I still play it with my friends over LAN; first installed it in 2000);

- Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (it's like a fetish and the side-missions give it an uncanny replay value; I discovered it 3 years ago);

- Doom 2 (perfect after-work-stress-relief since '98 );

- Mortal Kombat II (oh, it was the first game installed on my first computer in '97 tho I was playing it from '93 with my friends over at the arcade; for a couple of years I couldn't run it on Windows 2000 and XP till I discovered MAME).

Other games come and go, these 5 will always be there (and they don't take much memory either)! I hope my choices are not too pathetic as they are pureley nostalgic (the fun-factor is not solely in the graphics lads).

I am waiting for your comments!

[It wound be very sad tho if I was to discover I am the only person that has some "permament" games installed on his computer...:cry: ]
