Artistic style is lost in many games as they seek only to make a Game look more realistic.

It's understandable in certain Games that demand a "Real" World based on our own. Games such as Halo for example take place on Earth with everything based upon actual reality, if reality were to take place hundreds of years from now and involve an all out War between Humans and Aliens that is.

When it comes to other Games: Too many stick to a traditional style. Too afraid to venture off on their own in search for distant lands that could possibly hold more depth then we could ever imagine. Art can make a Game unique. New ideas is what the Game Industry needs. It's getting their, but it's going to take some New Developers to get the job done.
