Woah, I thought the FFT port was absolutely great. Worked perfectly for me. Loved every second. I do see your point with the Mana Khemia port, but nevertheless most of its problems could easily be solved with the Data Install feature, and it was a great game for those who didn't have a PS2 but did have a PSP. (A friend of mine enjoyed it a lot in the psp, having not played the PS2 version) I didn't buy it since I had and finished the PS2 version and don't particularly feel like playing it again. Other cool ports are the Riviera and Yggdrassil Union ports.

[QUOTE="Arono9"] Oh, all right. Then you enjoy your definitive version while I enjoy my upgraded and overall better version and my (future) portable with other interesting upgrades and changes version. (And all this while I also have fond memories of the original). ... Goddamn Atlus is stealing with this, but nevertheless I'll buy it.-Oath

Is there a problem between us or are you simply trying to provoke something?

P3 for the PS2 will undoubtably be better than P3P, in that regard Im not spending money on the inferior version of a game I already have.

Get over it.

Wait what? Aren't you being kind of conceited? Last time I checked one could actually discuss on forums, but now it seems you just can't else people will go to the defensive once they can't even argument anymore. You are in all your right to not buy it, as I said, but I also pointed that, while P3P will be inferior in some aspects to the original (mostly just the navigation part), it will also be superior in others(Battlesystem, overall content). FES is still a better game than P3 in every aspect, tho.

not trying to provoke anything; just simply curious..but I don't see what is so special or cool about these games? I'm willing to learn..always up for new games..anyone care to enlighten me what makes these games so "great"?millerjs1986
Err, why not try it for yourself instead of relying on someone else to tell you what's great or not? Also remember there's "different strokes for different folk", so something you might like may be disliked by other people and vice versa. Personally for me it's a combination of the battlesystem/general gameplay, the characters and story. Also the soundtrack, baby baby baby baby.

[QUOTE="Arono9"]So you are saying P3 FES (The Answer) wasn't essential either to the storyline since the original didn't have it, and it wasn't as good as P3?-Oath

No, what Im saying is its not the definitive version.

[QUOTE="Rhen_Var"][QUOTE="-Oath"]

Graphics?

School navigation?

-Oath

Well sure graphics and navigation is improvised but we're getting extra content along with it.

Female protagonist?

New Social links?

Which arent essential to the actual game considering P3 for the PS2 didnt have them.

Personally Id rather stick with the definitive PS2 version.

So you are saying P3 FES (The Answer) wasn't essential either to the storyline since the original didn't have it, and it wasn't as good as P3? Also let's not forget P3P is bringin very nice improvements to the gameplay, aside from every other important added material, which can change the whole experience. Now if you think you have had enough P3 and don't feel like playing it again, it's another thing.

People tend to forget (sometimes conveniently in favor of hating) that he was a pretty cool guy in the game. A jerk at first, actually crossdressed to save a girl, made fun of people and had cool lines (see below). His depressive state was normal in lenght during the game, and once he overcame it he became a cool leader and was anxious to defeat the big bad guy and end all the crap. All the so-called emo things came from Advent Children, where his mood and general state was totally different from FF7's finale. But no one gives a crap since they either have bad memory, think of it as a useful source to prove how ff7 is worse than *insert favourite rpg* or are rabid fangirls. Cool Cloud quotes taken from imdb, hope some of you have your memories fresh enough to remember them: Cloud Strife: [to Barrett] You look like a bear wearing a marshmallow. Yuffie: C'mon Cloud say something... Cloud: ...something. Tifa: Did you sleep well, Cloud? Cloud: Next to you, who wouldn't? Cloud Strife: All right, everyone, let's mosey. Cid Highwind: Damn! Again! Stop sayin' it like a wimp! Can't you say 'Move out!' or somethin'? Cloud Strife: Move out! Cloud Strife: I'm goin' upstairs, I wanna talk about my money! Aeris: You remember me? Cloud Strife: Yeah, you're the slum drunk. Cloud Strife: Whoa! Finger! What the hell? Tifa Lockheart: You see that, Cloud? Cloud Strife: The girl in the bikini? Yuffie Kisaragi: Thinkin' of running away? Stay and fight! FIGHT, I said! C'mon... What's the matter? You're pretty scared of me, huh? Cloud Strife: [sarcastically] ... petrified.
