Casuals aren't buying the PS3 because the Sony casual popular games still aren't even out, no GTA and GT. Nintendo_Man

GTA's release will blow Sony out of the market. GH is an example.. the difference with GTA would even be worse with the exclusive contents + an expected price cut on the 360 just before its release. (I mean 2 years and only $50 cut?).

GT will just bomba.. racing games are just dying, much like the fighting genre.

As for MGS4, Konami will drool over DMC's numbers on the 360 and announce the port. Square-Enix will follow soon after.

Even Sony agrees when they sold their share of the CELL: "Lets just get over this gen with the least possible damage".

The Wii took the spot of the casual/family consol that every house must have. And the 360 covered the hardcore gamers and the age range of 18+. The PS3 just can't get back the casual/family spot cuz of the price tag, $600 is just way high for a gaming machine, even $400 isn't cheap enough. So the only hope is to just fight the 360s spot head to head. But so far:

- Xbox 360 cheaper.

- Xbox 360 is much better in the gaming side.

- Xbox 360 has a much better online service.

- Xbox 360 is always the better home for the multi-plat games due to Live+Achievements.

So, who the hell is buying a PS3?

- Fanboys

- Rich people (prestige)

- Idiots (They either evlove into fanboys to justify their purchase, or sell it later for a 360)

- Whoever buys it as a blueray player.

Result = No PS3 titles in the last NPD's top 10.

So ya.. the PS3 is doomed.

dude do you see how the multi-plat games are selling? The 360 versions are owning all the time with a big difference. This just gives you a hint on how this gen is going. And with ratchet's bomba in the last NPD, MGS4 for the 360 will be announced by the beginning of the next year, then FF13 after couple of months. Then GTA4 comes out and Sony stops making PS3s.

Bungie must've sucked at strategy games then.

That is one massive price cut + i think couple of great games releasing there. If it doesn't pass 100k in the first week, its a flop.

Edit: It seems only one big game = dynasty warriors.

Xbox 360:

- Halo3 is never dead. The videos are filling youtube and the whole web. This will keep the hype up for a very long time.

- GTA4 is boosting 360 sales more than PS3 for three reasons: 1) cheaper. 2) More content. 3) Just check out EA sports sales, that'll give you some hints.

- Even though PS3 has, arguably, the best line up.. 360 has a very excelent one too. From the top of my head: Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Halo wars, Alan Wake, Fable2, Splinter Cell: Convection, Lost Odyssey. And most of them are very likely AAA titles. So PS3 doesn't have that big advatage game-wise over the 360.

- The 360 didn't have a real price cut yet.. So expect that somewhere in 2008. On the other hand, Sony just made one painful $100 price cut, so it'll be a while before seeing another big cut.

- Even with Sony's price cut.. the difference between the cheapest SKUs is $120!! That will be a good card against the "Playstation" brand name.

As for the Wii... The system is a fad = unstoppable until it ends.. Maybe thats some time in 2009, or never.. who knows.

KZ2 is the only game capable of outflopping KZ, and it will live to this.

Its not about creating a new genre.. but Tomb Raider been flopping lately.. its time for a game to do it right, and the videos are very promising. Trust me the game won't go below 9.

As for Haze.. well the FPS is been abused so much lately.. The game is 8.5 MAX. It just can't reach BioShock.

Dude what the hell? You are either lying or got ripped off badly. I live in Saudi Arabia (Direct neighbor to Kuwait), and we have very similar prices. Here are the estimates (The prices are from 2 days ago from one of the cheapest stores):

Wii: $460

Xbox 360: $460/$540 (premium/elite)

PS3: $510 (60GB)

Notice of course that we don't have taxes.. so the price over there is the final one. Microsoft and Sony are working very well on the region thats why we got reasonable prices for them, not like Nintindo. Wii is out of the question even with Mario coming out, unless the prices go back to normal or I go on a trip to some other country and find the normal price there.
