I know it had a rough start, and I stopped playing it after the first 3 weeks, but I returned 3 months ago, and played it until I had to stop to catch up with school again, and again, it have to be the best mmo. People have just forgot it, and noted it as a screwed game. The expansion will be out in a few days now, and that could really be something to look forward to, but I'd recommend it. The graphics is the best, combat system is amazing compared to any other games, and PvP, no doubt it's the best.

AoC is good, and I will be honest I never got to the end game, but it just seemed to drag for a bit. Last time I played it was problably 6 months ago though.

My list of all time favorite MMOs is:

1. World of Warcraft
2. Lord of the Rings Online
3. EVE Online
4. Auto Assault (rest in peace, you short-lived beauty)
5. Age of Conan

As I said, it improves alot every month, and 6 months is quite a long time you know. It's still improving, and the endgame have also improved a bit, but will improve even more in the expansion! I love the word improve btw :D Anyway levling is fun in my opinion, rushing to the endgame is pretty pointless. Ofc, WoW is fun, but that usually leasta for like 1 or 2 weeks, and then again, blizzard can't catch up with the players, and the players have to wait another 3 months for new stuff to do etc... EvE online seems a bit pointless, and acctually never heard about auto assult :P
