Well PS2 is doing great still, but Sony seems anxious to counter-attack Microsofts Xbox360. Well they have no choice but to follow up. My thoughts on the system itself; it looks great, controller is ugly, lineup is not so great. The system design itself is nice and slim and sleek looking. But one thing I found rather stupid was, "We have 7 controller slots". For what purpose? Gotta love all those 7 players split screen matches huh? Really drop dumb ideas like this and just put a hardrive on the system. There blu-ray choice is one of the nicer features. Xbox360 developers have already stated they are going to have to put games on multiple discs, which Sony shouldnt have to worry about. But honestly I could care less about how many discs are in a game I buy. The controller I think needs to be tossed, actually dont, it might come back and hit you. Reminds me of the days I first saw a bommareng and thought they were badass. But I grew out of that like before Sony was a company. The controller is reported to have a comfortable feel, I dont doubt it, but doesnt change the fact it looks ugly. Just not a controller I figure they'd use. But really, as long as it feels comfortable, I'm happy. So just make sure of that Sony! Now as for the lineup of games. Definitely real disappointing at this point. Nothing that really would make me buy it, after spending countless money on games out and games to come on 360. The lineup just looks ugly when I can be playing exclusive 360 titles by time it comes out, that actually will be starting to break into next-gen dreams. It's really still to early to say, because there could be several titles not announced yet. Sony likes suprises. But I kinda think the reason we haven't seen anything besides MGS4 is because they were caught off guard on the next gen. Microsoft beat them to the punch and almost seems Sonys in a rushing state of mind. What's Sony's plan for online gaming? I feel bad for Sony fan boys. They have yet to see a great part of gaming that they havent felt yet. Yea they had online but it was a joke, laughable. Now they say they wont have HD's on the system, which makes sense to why company's like square are releasing Final Fantasy 11 on 360. Design of System- Thumbs Up- Like the thin sleek look. Controller- Thumbs Down- Plain ugly. Games- Thumbs Up- Great for a launch like 360. Online- Thumbs Down- Sony step up. Final thoughts: Will be a great system no doubt. But the way Sony has been acting is quite funny. They sound like when Xbox 1 shipped. Relying more on graphics and add-ons for there system rather than giving info on games. Which is a sign, like Xbox 1, that they aren't doing so hot in the game department. So the graphics and add-ons are a way to distract people until they can scrounge some stuff up. Just like Microsoft did before. At the end of this next gen you will see a big impact by 360. Sony has a hell of a fight ahead of them. Can they hang on against the 360 exclusive games and online? Or the Revolutions? Yea, but this will be the biggest challenge Sony has faced in game history.

Great news today, Mistwalker cofirms another unannounced title, making this the fourth title under their belt now. I know HS loves MMORPG's could this be his 4th title that hasnt been announced? Doubt it, but nothing is for sure at this time. I believe maybe after atleast 4-5 titles he'd consider doing one, if not a movie. Seeing as he has a few high level characters in Everquest, he has the dream of doing one for sure. And now that he has choices on what he wants to develop, due to leaving square, than this will just eventually happen. I mean this man has kept ideas in his head for 20 years and dumping it on a DS game. Just think of the potential he has with the MMO genre. These announcements are huge for Xbox360 owners around the world. Although it does make me wonder why HS is releasing these games on 360. Is it going to be a statement to Square that he can start up what he started on PS?(and others) I believe so, hes about making a mark on what he does. He's a briliant person, really. Sakaguchi deserves as much praise as Miyamato himself. I believe these first couple titles might be short of perfect. I mean unless he has so much talent he can pull off several games being a hit while in development together.(not doubting) That's hard stuff. I believe it will be worth your money, as long as it sells well, our future and his will be full of great developed games. On another note. If Square does decide to release there big name games on 360, makes me wonder why I would even buy a PS3. But more on this tommorrow.

Just as the topic says. I've been reading around on many differnt websites for past few months leading up to Xbox360 launch. This will end up sounding like a fanboy arguing, but its only due to people saying the system sucks before they actually have even looked into the future of the system. Which I find really amazing, what happened to playing games because they are good? Rather than oh Microsoft made it, so it sucks, but yet I use a Windows system to post my hatred towards them? I am a fan of all the systems, better yet of gaming. But seriously to the Sony fanboys(meaning you only play playstation and pass judgement on other systems) take a look at your lineup so far, ok. Now look at what Microsoft has to offer at there launch. It blows PS3 out of the water. You try to backup 'your' system with a game called MGS4. Which does look nice, yes. But you are trying to make this a Halo for PS3 and it wont happen. Websites like IGN are really hyping this game to be a 'killer app' but seriously thats just a flaw in there gaming knowledge. You dont need a 'killer app' for launch systems right Sony peeps?(check your history) But you are quick to judge 360's launch games as crap when in fact it's the best dam lineup ever on any system. And it's funny how these 'fanboys' keep bringing up the fact that PS3 graphics are the best ever so the system will kill 360! Notice a change in tone on 360 and Sony's side? I remember the exact thing happened in last gen with xbox fanboys. Now really why I have been so suprised to read the hatred on 360 on boards, mags, sites etc. is because the games I see coming out for 360. Take companys like Mistwalker, Bioware, Silicon Knights, Tecmo, From Software, Rare, Bungie, Id, Webzen, and countless others supporting this system for example all working on incredible exclusive titles. How can you pass up on Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Huxley, Prey, Halo 3, New wolfenstein, Lost odyssey, Too human, Perfect Dark, Kameo, Elder Scrolls, Enchant Arm, Jade Empire 2, Project Gotham, DOA, and Ninety-Nine Nights. There are obviously some games and companys I missed, but I feel I got the point across. If you as a videogame player can say that, this lineup doesnt make you excited about games. Than games just arent for you. Like I said I'm not a fanboy and I look forward to all systems, but I'm just amazed by the people who say SONY ONLY! Reason I played Sony consoles was because it was about the games it offered. What was yours? So that reason is why I will play 360 as well. I will be buying rev. and PS3, as for now I'll have fun playing 360. This was directed to the people who judge systems without actually even looking into them and go by what others have said. When you stick to one mag, one system, it's understandable why you are so close minded about other systems.
