Did anyone watch the CGI clip for Star Wars: The Old Republic?

That was the most beautiful 2-3 minutes of video I have ever seen in my life.

Almost time for the Microsoft Press Conference! I am mostly looking forward to any hardware and PC news. Last year was a real shame, with Microsoft focusing mostly on 360

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that E3 starts next week.

In anticipation of this awesome event, I have put together a list of games that I am most looking forward to. This just my personal list, so you are going to see a lot of PSP and PC titles. In no particular order....

SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3

I was a huge fan of SOCOM Tactical strike and loved the tech they used for the game. The graphics looked great and ran smooth, and everything was a great deal better then Fireteam Bravo 2. However, many people prefer the Fireteam Bravo type gameplay, so that's the direction the new game is taking. Looking forward to this one!

Star Wars: The Old Republic

I have been waiting for another KOTOR and my prayers have finally been answered.... sort of. I will be keeping a close eye on this game, but in the end it will come down to the subscription cost. I simply refuse to pay monthly for a game. Lets hope BioWare doesn't disappoint.

Mass Effect 2

The first Mass Effect was a lot of fun. The exploration, choose your own lines, story, etc. BioWare is one of the greatest makers of RPG games, so I have high hopes for this game.

Il2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey

This series is one of the best combat flight simulators available. Great graphics, gameplay and aircraft. This new game marks the series first entrance into the console market. I love the art direction and the gameplay looks fun as well. I will definitely be checking for any news of this title!

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron

Pretty funny, this game just got announced minutes after I created this blog post. Looks like this game will take lots of ideas from the rumored Battlefront 3, adding in land-air-space combat. Add in customization and online multiplayer and you got yourself a great handheld game!

Last Thoughts

The next great thing about E3 is all the new game announcements. I really look forward to what Bethesda is doing, Lucasarts announcing Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron (EDIT: Just got announced), and also finding out what Sony Bend studios is up to.

What games are you guys looking foward too?

So as many of you have undoubtedly read, the ESRB leaked details of a new Star Wars Battlefront game for PSP and DS. This game is called "Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron."

This honestly was a pleasant surprise for me. I was fairly certain that there would be a sequel, seeing as how the previous Battlefront game on the PSP sold well over one million copies. So it begs the question, is this Battlefront 3 or is it a sequel to Battlefront: Renegade Squadron?

Personally, I think it is a sequel to Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, seeing as how they both use the "squadron" title. Renegade Squadron had a campaign that revolved around the rebellion, so maybe Elite Squadron focuses on the Imperials.

I hope I am right too, because the next gen consoles need a Battlefront game ASAP! I think anyone who checked out the leaked Free Radical footage of Battlefront 3 would agree with me. Hopefully LucasArts answers some questions regarding this topic at E3.

These are just some of my thoughts on the subject, what do you guys think?

Its been a long while since I've blogged or been involved with anything at Gamespot, but I am back for good now. Life has been really busy recently and I havent been playing many games. However, with Summer almost here, all should be good.

If you noticed, I am going through the process of redoing my account. I am changing images, re-starting my blog completely, etc. I want my blog to be really high quality this time, so I will be working quite hard on it.I will start commenting on other blogs and unions as well. Good to be back!
