As long as the devolopers predict that the gamers marginal valuations over DRM games is higher than the cost, they will still continue to produce, charging prices along the MVs curves until P=MV1=MV2, and that all our consumers surplus have been extracted due to perfect price discrimination. Actually, it doesn't matter whether DRM exists or not, we buy games because we think we try to maximize our gain, and developers use DRM also because they try to maximize their own revenues, if it isn't mutually benefitical, there won't be any trade. Thus? There isn't any loss to us, or to them in economic sense.
