synopis: here's the review that i planned to do 3 months ago but com problems prevented. the debut album of a new up and rising band. is it any good?. find out now
review: all i have to say is...........wow madina lake have done it. the new band from chicago have done it. the band features twins nathan and matt leone (lead vocals, bass) mateo calmargo (guitar), and dan torelli (drums). the twins used the monewy they won from fear factor to start a band and wow its good. the album features some emo wit a mix of a metal bark which i think is pointless. every song on the album follows the theme of the album which is based on a fictional 50's town made up by matt called madina lake, this shows the band has great creativity and it definately shows in their music. in every song u can tell of the sadness and the message thier tryin to get through. nathan does this well but his vocals arent the most impressive however the great guitar work more than makes up for it. the cd also features a mini book about the town of madina lake and the dissaperance of her most known resident. adalia.
key tracks:
here i stand
one last kiss
house of cards
now or never
me vs the world
pandora
morning sadness
overall this is a great debut for the boys in chicago and anyone lookin for the next best thing should check it out. madina lake is coming to take the punk world by storm in 07 and their music certainly backs it up ^ ^.
