Yeah, I do. It has better upscalling capabilities than the PS3 or the DVD player in my house. So I use my 360 to watch DVDs in my room.gp19

On another note,the Blu-ray on PS3 or any other Blu-ray player when playing a Blu-ray DVD is far superior. But that should be a no-brainer. You have more pixels to begin with on a Blu-ray DVD.

I am scared of getting a rrod thing with it. So please some one help me decide.

How to avoid rrod? is getting a 360 a test of luck?:(

I don't know anyone personally that has got teh RROD. I play mine every other day, sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes 6 or 7 hours at a time. I have been doing this for 3 years and had 0 problems. The chances of getting it is 3-5%. It is really an overheating problem. If you put it in a well ventilated area, or even by the extra cooling fan (I did not do this) then I would think you would lower that percentage even more. There is just as high a percentage of getting a processor overheat problem with a computer...especially if you don't take necessary ventilation precautions.

Also, microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years to cover the RROD. That tells me two things. 1. They stand behind their product 2. The RROD can't be that big of an issue or they would lose their tail covering all the warranty claims.

By the time your 3 year warranty is up, a next gen console will be out anyway.

If you have the extra scratch, do yourself a favor and get the elite...I don't even download that much stuff and I know I could use the extra hard drive space.

I love everything about my Elite, but 1 little thing pisses me off... The fact that even though this was the first next-gen console there is no excuse why the 360(any model) isnt wi-fi/wierless right out of the box, so since i have to have an eathernet cable in my Elite for Live i have to have the console hooked up to my small sd-tv, instead of upstairs on the flat 60 inch plasma 1080p tv. Because of this i have to choose whether i need Live or HD quality every time i play.draftrough

Dude, just run a new cat5 jack to where your plasma is. It's not that hard or expensive. cheaper than a wifi adapter and better reliability. You should have a cat5 jack by your TV anyway to prepare for the future.

I don't have many complaints about it. I don't hear mine as being noisy...maybe it's the fact that I have my surround sound cranked up so loud. I'm not worried about it taking a crap on me...I have never had a problem with any console except the original nintendo. But of course I was young and didn't take as good of care of it as I do now. I don't mind the power brick. Mine is in an entainment media pier where it has been since I bought it almost 3 years ago and has not moved. I can't even see the brick.

So my only complaint is the fact that my 360 does not have an HDMI cable and apparently will never be able to be upgraded to have one. I will have to buy a new system to get the HDMI. That kind of ticks me off. I wish I could buy a blueray disc player add on like the HD DVD they had and add HDMI by buying a new adapter.

Other than that I love it and it gets plenty of use playing COD4 and RB6V2 on live.

An internet browser would be nice, but I would rarely use it. I do wish Netflix will hurry up and make the jump to XBOX live like they have been talking about.
