Hey all,

So my account leveled up the other day to level 10, the Phoenix Down. This brought back a boatload of memories from when I was young enough to sit in my basement and play Final Fantasys for 8 hours at a time. Wow the good old days. I guess I would like to go through and point out my favorite FF moments in honor of this great account level name. Here we go: (These are not in order of awesomeness, I am not that organized)

1) First off, the opening movie to FF8 was boss. I would start new games just to watch that movie. Oh the twin scars and the absolutely wicked gunblades. Why don't they make those?! Hmmm i guess thats a business idea... Its ok though. The beastlyness of this cut scene is only muffled by the scene in space where Squall brings that one annoying girl onto the ship and that its all lovey dovey. It would have been ok but I hated that girl.

2) FF10-2 whenever I turned it off for the first tiem and realized that the world was not ending, and that the game did NOT count as a final fantasy. That was crap. I felt like a moron for buying it. It's ok, life moves on.

So I haven't played around with my account for long on Gamaspot, pretty much since summer, and it has barely leveled up at all! I have seen people who are level 40 or some crazy number like that. I don't even wanna know who they had to do to get that level. Not that I think leveling your account is important, but it is mildly entertaining and I would mind being above the little **** levels. So anyhoo, if anyone knows how to make that go faster, lemme know! If not, then I hope you have enjoyed reading this pointless post.

Since my motherboad is too weak to handle my video card and 4 gigs of ram, I decided to move on with my gaming life and buy an xBox 360. Though I will miss the point click action of the PC, I love this whole achievement thing... its wicked cool. And may I add that I missed fighting games si much! Anyhoo... yeah its sweet.

So on Monday my computer bit the dust, well at least the motherboard did. This, of course, means that I lost everything on my computer that wasn't backed up and I need to send my comp in for two weeks because it's under warentee (which is good!). However, two weeks without video games is kinda tough for me, being that it is summer and I don't start my job yet. So instead of playing new games like GTA4 and Fallout 3 on my G-force 9600 with 4 gigs of ram, I started playing Morrowind on my parents old crap computer. Holy hell did I miss that game. After having fun playing that one for a while, I began to wonder how many games I just completely forgot about. I guess this is more food for thought then anything, but it was a trip reminiscing about all those games that I never touch anymore like Morrowind, Diablo, Starcraft and Neverwinter Nights. So I guess I would encourage you to break out some old games and just go nuts, see how far games have come in the past years (or decade for me). Enjoy that. Peace, BaOK-8
