@StarSfrife @klaisn @Bacca7 i think the biggest problem for nintendo with this console is that the last generation they went HARD after casual gamers and introduced a bunch of folks to a market they arent going to continue following, i think Nintendo felt with the user base of the Wii being so large, selling the WiiU would be easy, but they forgot that those are folks who dont buy systems... with that said, i dont think having a press conference trying to say, 'See see, look at us here, we already have this console out!' will work, Sony and MS are going to steal the 'console' show so to speak, and also have consoles that will appeal more to a wider audience of gamers... i get the feeling Nintendo knows it cant market this system the same way, and so i hope they shift their focus to the fans and starting giving them what they want, new games aka hope... i have a WiiU and PS3 and Xbox 360 and a gaming PC, ive had nintendo systems and been playing their games since 1985, im a fan for life, they are becoming somewhat of a niche thing, but that is ok for them because they have an excellent slew of First Party IP's that are classic, timeless, and always sell games and systems, and i think they know that, just give the people what they want, keep the games fun and innovative and they will be fine... Nintendo has never been flashy and i dont see why they would start when the other companies are trying to yell louder and flash brighter than the other... why get in a shouting match when you can sit back and do what you do best.... if they dont show up to E3 with much to offer and few if any game announcements, then i will eat all of my words and start getting a little pissed... E3 is huge, even if they dont need a press conference...
so they showcase their games without a huge flashy press conference?? big deal... as long as they talk games games and more games, i could care less how they 'show' them...
