I have the 32 bit version of Vista Ultimate and it's working fine. Just go into the Maplestory properties and run it as an Administrator. This is with the latest updates of the game.. previous versions crashed instantly just like you described in your first post.

For PC my vote goes to Command and Conquer 3.

For Gamecube it's Resident Evil 4.

For Xbox 360 it's going to be Dead or Alive 4 and Forza 2.

[QUOTE="justheretodl124"]Old news and even if they gave every game on steam for free I would never get another ATI card.justheretodl124

haah nVidia fan? What do you have to say about Viper HD2900XT? 1 gig of memory and 875Hz engine clock! Blows GTX/Ultra out of the water.

/end offtopic

And yeah its fairly old news but still a good offer for those who have yet to get into the HL2 universe.

I hate ati because I spent money on an expensive card and it made all my games crash and they have the worst customer support i've ever seen it took 1 week for single line useless responses they never did help me or give me my money back.

My issues are with Nvidia... I have never had much luck with them in anyway. I switched to ATI about 2 years ago and have yet to have had any issues. I don't favor any company over any other, but atm ATI is where I will stay until I can feel good about going back to Nvidia. Everyone has their preferences and mine atm are with AMD/ATI.(this has nothing to do with fanboyism so let's keep it that way.)

I personally am new to Half Life since most of my gaming is done on consoles and yet I have not tried the console versions of the game. My intentions were to alert users of the Radeon GPU line of cards to this free offer that is now available to them. I am not the only one new to this game and i'm sure others like myself would benefit from this chance at being able to play this game. Sorry to anyone that might think this isn't worth posting, but i'm sure those people are also the ones who got into Half Life before people like myself.

@justheretodl124:To each his own.

@Anthony9000: That's exactly what I said when I found it out yesterday.

It seems that ATI and Valve are offering 2 games for free to users of the Radeon family of GPUs. The 2 free downloads are Half Life 2: Lost Coast and Half Life 2 Deathmatch. I have both downloaded and working on my Vista setup so it's all good.

That video was nice.. showed a little more of RE than what i have seen previously. now if i could find that video in a larger screen size then i would be even happier.

I personally have 2 HD screen in my home(no i'm not rich just worked my ass off for them) and i enjoy playing both my 360 and my gamecube on either screen w/o having to worry about degraded graphics. They are both great systems and do what they were designed for very well. HD is a little overrated but it will become the standard sooner than later.... but in the Wiis defense... the system in my opinion was built to show people that HD isn't always needed to have fun. Case in point: the Wii from what i last read is now outselling the PS3 4:1 and is getting more support from developers with games i never thought would ever see the day of light on another Nintendo console. HD is nice.. but that's all it is.. nice.
