But since every human should have control over what they want or not, what happens if a kid doesn't want a transgendered Dad or to be adopted by a homosexual couple? th3warr1orThe homosexual couple should put the kid up for adoption again and see if he likes it better.

I agree - who decides what is "bad" anyway
How about diseases that slowly kill you for starters? You think it's fine and dandy for people with AIDS, for example, to have kids?[QUOTE="Stumpt25"]I don't really understand why they have the "atheist" tagline attached to them_Tobli_
In my experience, well known atheist seem to be the strongest proponents of scepticism, logic, reason, science, education, etc.
So this incorporation feels natural to me.
wow, that's arrogantdamage control much? suddenly a game from a developer that has gotten tons of praise for its real-time strategy games (relic) looks horrible. Now I wonder how THAT could have happened.
Pretending like that's the norm for people who drink alcohol is like me making a post portraying all videogame players as sad pathetic socially inept virgins who only pretend to be badass monster slayers in order to compensate for their own lives thoroughly sucking.MrGeezeri think im going to buy that "cheers to you" cd now.

[QUOTE="Scoorby"]Does anyone else feel like online play is starting to kill gaming? I remember back when you could go to an arcade and there would always be that kid who could mop the floor with everyone, so it always meant so much if you could beat him. Now it's just a bunch of faceless IDs with a score next to it. No real motivation to bother beating them, and it means nothing if you do, other than your name being a little higher up on an online leader board full of people you don't even know. I also remember back when I would play multiplayer splitscreen with some of my friends, and it was always such a fun experience. Now no one even bothers with going outside and meeting up with their friends because they could just play online, and trash talk people with their mics. Who cares about being polite when everything you do online is more or less anonymous? To me, it seems like multiplayer gaming has become so lifeless and impersonal. burgeg
If you don't like it stop playing online. Simple as that.
No it's not as simple as that. The fact is that the more developers focus on online the worse the single player is. Gaming is only getting worse for people that dont like online gaming much because the single players are just getting worse. I welcome an online component if it doesn't affect the single player in any way, but that's very rare. When it comes to FPS's I suppose online is helping the genre. Flame me all you want for this, but almost every FPS I have ever played absolutely sucks singleplayer. Yes that includes half life 2. Hated that game and pretty much every single player FPS I've ever played. The only FPS I even remotely enjoyed was Halo 3, and only because of the pick up and play run n gun messing around for a few minutes gameplay online. Online isn't hurting the single player of FPS's because they were never good anyway. But making online a big focus in my Grand Theft Auto? Unacceptable. We all know how disappointing GTA IV was. I think a big reason for this was because of how much time they spent on the online. There's no way the single player would have been so much worse than San Andreas if single player was all GTA IV had. Basically online is helping some genres but hurting others.
im not a huge fan of gta to be honest, but it was LEAGUES better than san andreas. how disappointing could it have been for fans if it got scores of 9 and 10 from every major gaming site?
