I only just became aware of it. I guess people weren't swayed by more of the same gameplay as Rise of Nations.

Same gameplay? Rise of Legends? I'm not quite convinced you've actually played the game, if anything Rise of Legends is one of the more unique RTS game out there. Overall the game was excellent, though I did find some parts of the campaign to be a bit repetitive.

I think it was well deserved, Bioshock was excellent.

I also think there's too many people on these forums with the "X reviewer has a different opinion than me, therefore X is biased" attitude.

That's not what I meant:

Reviewers get paid by developers or publishers to give crappy games big scores (KOTOR2,NWN2,Halo3,Oblivion etc.) and those that don't pay them they give their games low scores (Vampire-Bloodlines,Mass Effect etc.)
