Whoever can honestly say they followed sony's PR when purchasing a PS3 has got issues.mmirza23

3/4 of PlayStation's fanbase in a nutshell.

PS3 for me would be like buying an Aston Martin (without the status, obviously) in the middle of a large city and not being able to utlisise it's speed. It's a lost purchse. I know that an extremely loose metaphor, but I don't see the point in paying for technology that you can't put into good use... well, with the PS3 you CAN - but Heavenly Sword and Warhawk aren't worth it.

I know the whole "Waiting" tag is passe and used to death, but it pretty much sums up the PS3 until late 2008.

BC is not too important because after all, who DOESN'T own a PS2 already? The PS2 has been out for 7 years and is incredibly cheap. If you did not have a PS2 after 7 years, you probably don't care about BC on the PS3 either.Supernova_86

I don't have a PS2 and there are some games I'd love to play on it without having to buy a PS2 and PS3

...BC is MEANINGLESS and 2 USB ports are "JUST FINE!".

Really DOES go to show that the Cow's are herded blindly by Farmer Sony, and don't really care for quality (a year with 2 decent games says it ALL, really...).

If the PS3 was the same product with a different name and released by a different company, the Cow's would trash it ruthlessly and all of a sudden Blu-Ray would be obselete.

Cows, collectively, are possibly the worst group of fanboys I have ever encountered, so in love with a corporation (who doesn't give two ****s about them) they would do/say anything in it's defence. Saddening.

The rampant lunacy is even worse than the Genesis/SNES days.

you can pay $100 more for a ps3 with 4usb ports and BC, whats your point? you have "choices" just like lemmings like to say with xbox360.

For $699 (AFTER price drop) here ($630 USD) you get a PS3 and one SixAxis, whereas the Premium 360 gives you two control pads and two games ($470 USD). There is also an expansive library of fantastic software that justifies the purchase.

There is no reason to purchase a PS3 at this point in time when there are about 3 games on the thing worth playing.

Yes, you have choices with the 360 because none of the things you have to choose are essential to the system, like Blu-Ray, for example.

Japan is starting to remind me of France.

Snobby elitists who hate America even though they owe us big time (we saved France's arse during WWII and Japan's whole economy depends on American consumers)hamstergeddon

I hope you were joking, because that is possibly the most arrogant and ridiculous thing I've ever read on System Wars, and I doubt you've been to either France or Japan.

[QUOTE="HarlockJC"]The last Mario Tennis got a 8.9 that going to be hard to beat by someone from Sega......It not like Sega is well know for it great Sonic games has of late. Unless it on the DS.JiveT

Sega is well known for it's Virtua Tennis series, though.

Great Myau pic from Phantasy Star. I think...

This game is gonna rule the roost. Haters can eat it.

Yes it is Myau! *gets lid off bottle* :D

No matter what the price, the PS3 is still a desolate wasteland when it comes to playing games. 2 lineargames without online doesnt constitute as FUN when you're playing them through for the 40th time.

Even with the pricedrop, the PS3 is $599 USD here and comes with no backwards compatibility and no games and one SixAxis

I dont know what games are on the wii VC as i havent got it online yet, but i'd love to see all my old mega drive (Genesis) games on the Xbox live arcade. Games such as Donald ducks Quackshot, Dynamite heady, mickey mouse' Castle of Illusion, among some others that i cant remember right now.

SSJ_Nega

Hah, Quackshot was awesome, but I preferred Castle of Illusions on the Master System :P

[QUOTE="LivingReceiver"]Ha, you must be poor as hell if you think 500 bucks is still too much. Maybe you depend on your parents to buy you a console but people who actually do something productive don't mind a 500$ SKU, just like they didn't when they bought the 360 or get the Elitenyoroism
My brother-in-law lives in his own house and yet he still had to depend on his parents to buy him a Wii. Why? Because he has bills to pay. Sometimes even 250 is expensive, you know.

What kind of bills does he PAY ? his dealer ?! bloody hell...
