This is really a blog about video game collecting.
I really want to get into video game collecting because I think video games are super, super fun and being to play games on different consoles brings a cool new experience. For me as an example, I have been playing video games on the sony platforms for years. Of course, I played the Wii, Gamecube and Xbox at friend's houses. But, I never actually own the actual systems. These are the reasons I want to get into video game collecting.
1. For playing games in a different view. In other words, playing video games that are different from the company that publishes the game. Like, when you play a game that's on a sony platform, it's going to feel like the same thing as in to the company that makes the system. If you play Jak and Daxter, it feels like Sony. When you play something like God of War, Rise to Honor, Grand Theft Auto, Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy and others on the playstation platforms, it feels like sony. I just got a Nintendo 64 from a little boy in my homeschool group, so now I'm going to experience games in Nintendo's point of view in playing video games.
2. More variety in my reviews. What I mean is I have been reviewing games from the PlayStation platform for a year, with the exception of one PC game and a Wii game. With more games on certain systems from companies like Nintendo, Sega and Microsoft, I wouldn't just sit there and review a playstation 1 or 2 game every single time.
3. My friends on doing it. Why should I? I seen people here on my friend's list that own a lot of systems. I want to join in and start collecting like 5 consoles and 2 handhelds. I think it's fun.
and 4. To earn emblems on my profile. I want to get the retro gamer emblem and the serious collector emblem.
I think video game collecting is a cool new experience. I have been a comic book collector and I even used to try to collect all 10 red power rangers from the original ten seasons. But, video games have always been a big interest in me for such a while that I really want to collect old systems. What are your thoughts on it?
See ya later.
