Well mtron if you look at the larger picture i think that its better that gamestop employees atleast know about the games their offering to people and although it lets the "Slobs and fanboys" in i think it still helps the company sell their product. Does this mean that if infact E3 was killed off that games would go back to being sold by word and praying for updates about the game throughout the year? Probably. I suppose i dont mind the old way of selling a product but personally i think the slobs and fanboys are the people who truly sell the game, not the marketers.
But what they dont realize that more than half the time games are hyped by the little people and preveiws that can only be put out in May. I think that the businesses are going to be spending even more money each year advertising to get their points across. Microsoft no doubt will make their own show if E3 is in fact canceled. It costs them alot of money for it but the impact it makes is amazing. I think they should rethink this. Games that should suceed in the industry wont now...what does this say for the announcements that come every time around E3? No more?
Haha to the guy who chose final fantasy...they said good games, not games that traditionally are rated well. And to the people choosing halo, get over yourselves it really isnt that long and halo 2's story SUCKS. 1. GTA: SA is my number one because to be honest the GTA series can keep you entertained for atleast 2-3 hours just jumping on peoples roofs and shooting them and seeing how long it takes til they crash or something. 2. Saints Row Demo which soon will be the full fledged game come the 29th (street dated the same day it ships...weird) and for those that want something to screw around with physics with it comes out the 1st of august on XBL. This game is crazy fun. I get inside a convertible and shoot the guys car so he starts driving like a maniac and then when he hits a wall he flies out the front window. 3. Golden Sun for GBA was probably one of my all time favorite games because the first and second games were both great stories which i enjoyed immensely. To be honest i think it was two of the most underappreciated games of its time. 4. Myth 2 soulblighter was probably my number one PC game in the 90s. It was created by bungie and was an amazing RTS with a great story and some cool features for its time that really made it feel real in some respects. If you can get your hands on a copy of this game, do it, atleast for collectors sakes. 5. Finnaly my fifth game is Half-life 1 for the PC. Using codes to get weapons to kill scientists at the beginning and push the alarm was just what it was all about. Long game with a suprisingly great story.
