Ugh. I was playing at night with my lights turned off, attempting to get the fire plasmid, when the splicers (Or what's his name? Dude that made Rapture..) cut the lights in the room.. I was SO freaked out. I haven't ever played any horror or even remotely scary game before, so maybe it's just me.[QUOTE="lordsage77"][QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]
yea I was wondering that too. I did not find getting the jump on every single non-scripted enemy encounter creepy. You could hear their mumblings from 100 feet away

oh no, I agree there were two or three scripted events that were pretty scary, but for the most part it was predictable.
I know when things jump out at you randomly and out of no where, its a cheap scare, but its a scare none the less.
Doom 3...Quake 4...FEAR...all games 10x more frightening than Bioshock.
Idunno, thats just my opinion. I really like horror movies, though, and Bioshock just felt strained and predictable in terms of the scares.
Its an ok game, too...I just dont like it.
