Well, I came across the following statement while browsing around the PS4 merchandise on another site:
"PS4 enables the greatest game developers in the world to unlock their creativity and push the boundaries of play through a platform that is tuned specifically to their needs".
I don't know about you guys but I heard this same rubbish when the PS3 was coming out and they still turned out a pile of some of the worst games on the market.
If game developers really cared about the power of a game machine, they would take their time with games and make sure what they were creating was something that players were going to enjoy, especially seeing as how we spend our hard earned money on these games in the range of $50 or $60 bucks, and not just to rush them out so they can make their money and move on to the next project.
I believe the PS4 will fall into this same old sorry story and reviewers of Gamestop and other game sites like this will be giving games scores of 2 out of 5 or 4 out of 10 and again, sorry excuses for games will be churned out, wasting the power of yet, another game machine's potential.
BUT...before you go throwing daggers at me, NOT ALL the games will be like this.
There will be The Call Of Dutys and the Medal Of Honors and the Adventure games that I'm sure will knock our socks off with superior graphics and gameplay but I just find it a shame that ALL the games can't be this way.
I will raise my hand and admit that I did purchase a couple of dogs but thats why I thank my lucky stars for trade-in programs, it's a bit of a shame it wasn't available in the 2600 days.
