Okay... so you find what is perhaps the biggest living wild pig ever recorded and you kill it? With a gun no less?
1) Capturing it alive would have net more money because people are more willing to pay to see an amazing live specimen than dead one.
2) If you must kill it, it's much more a testament of skill to give the boar a fair chance of winning. Being killed by a coward with a gun wasn't even respectful to the fact that this was an oddity of nature.
3) If you really are that cowardly, you can get more money from people who would pay to hunt it down using the old fashioned methods. Something like this is a game hunters dream short of the most dangerous game.
