The reason for Sonys slow start was because of blu ray. Sony knew that a small percentage of the 120 million PS2 owners were so loyal that they could have Kaz poop in a shoebox and write PlayStation on the side of it and cows would line up by the millions to buy it at any cost. So they used this loyalty to push 'Teh Blu Ray' on those poor fanboys, passing off CGI trailers as 'in-game footage' of upcoming games and then not delivering any quality games for over a year . With no spectacular jaw-dropping games to show their friends and/or justify their 599-us-dollars purchase many cows were forced turn to Casino Royale and other blockbuster movies on blu ray. Sony was counting on this and the blu ray trojan horse ultimately won the hi-def format war for them. dz8t2t

The weird thing is this is so obvious and everyone knows its true, but I have yet to find a PS3 fancow who would admit to it.

I haven't seen Fallout 1 or 2 on retail shelves for years. I did see the abortion known as Brotherhood of Steel the other day, though.BioShockOwnz

In the US some big box retailers have those 'Jewelbox' racks where they have all these old titles sans manuals repackaged with just the jewelbox and crammed by the hundreds into racks usually going for 5-10 bucks, crap like Typing Buddy, Dora the Explorer in 'The Adventure of Mommys Menopause', 'Learn to master French in one Hour' etc, etc.

Anyways the point of this is that I usually see Fallout 1 & 2 packaged as a double jewelbox in these discount racks going for like 8 bucks. Picked it up last year and played through it again, it was just as good as it was 9 years ago!

I knew that but do you know if cheeves are going to be on the GfW version? I know 'tis sad I make multiplat decisions pased not on the quality of the version but rather if it "gots cheeves??". Such is the life of a CheeveHo.

Other than MGS4 my PS3 see very little game time. However its a great media center and thats mainly what I use it for.

My gaming time breaks down like this: 360 60%, PC (AoC ftw!) 20%, Wii 10% and PS3 10%
