take it from me OP just build a nice desktop, most will hardly take advantage of the mobility of a laptop. If you really need a laptop for school work just spend less then 500 on a small portable and 1500 for a beast gaming machine. I bought a really nice thinkpad through my school for a really good price. I can play games and all, but I do wish I just built a nice desktoprob1101

Well I'm considering majoring in computer science, and just in high school it's a pain in the ass transfering code from school to my house and then back to school. It would be way easier to have a laptop I can take anywhere and do all the work on one machine.

And I need this to last four years, and I'm sure computers will become even MORE integrated in the college classroom by then, so I just think a laptop makes more sense.

Okay theres minor annoyances on the 360...

1) If you budge the console at all when a game is going it burns rings in the disc (not really minor, come to think of it)

2) The stupid "Blah blah is online" get's in the way of the game screen

3) Switching between an HD and SD TV is a pain in the ass

4) If there are multiple 360s in the room, linking up controllers can be a pain.

5) Thew new headset design sucks, you have to pull up on the wire to turn it off and on and adjust volume.

6) 360s RROD. Wiis don't break nearly as much.

There's more. And yes the Wii has more, but the point is that minor annoyances don't make a console awful. They all have them.

Theres a lot of good games on it? Zelda: TP, Wario Ware, Super Paper Mario, RE4 Wii, Metriod Prime 3, SMG, No More Heroes, and Smash are all good enough reasons to get a Wii. Not to mention tons of VC games.

I'll worry about it if it becomes a big problem.

But really, I've knocked my wii over and yanked it foward while I'm playing and nothing happens. You do that with a 360, you can say good bye to whatever is in the disc drive.

I don't care if those games are good or not, I think the point is that it feels like the same stuff over and over and over again. I've started to drift away from FPS because everytime I play a new one, it feels like I'm playing a game I've already played before.

They are all current gen. End of story.

"Generation" refers to a time period, not technology.
