Good thing about Gears' control schemes is that playing on the Xbox controller doesn't really feel worse than mouse/keyboard. Tried both on PC and was getting my ass kicked a whole lot more when using mouse. I just got used to the controller over all the years playing Gears.
Nice comparison. PC looks definitely the best although I play DA on 360 and washed out graphics is not a huge downside for me in this game. It doesn't have to look like the 8th wonder of the world to play great. However, I'm bit surprised that after such an eye candy like Mass Effect (character models were absolutely gorgeous) BioWare made a game that looks a 100 times worse. Maybe it's just they're working on a new engine. Anyways, I love the game so I don't wanna complain really :)
Gears 2 looks a lot better than its predecessor and I'm talking about technical stuff, not the change of artistic style, which btw is also very cool. Character models, shadowing and lighting, textures, explosions, blood and water effects and many more, all are a big step forward.
Cliff Bleszinski said that to consider Gears of War 2 (and video games) not as an art form would be a personal insult to all the creators of the game who spent years to develop it and gave all their minds and hearts to do so.
