Cliffy "B" claims that this game is going to be bigger, better and more BAD-ASS...and it was truly a very great improvement from the last Gears.

Gameplay mechanics has greatly improved, more ways of dealing with the enemy. Tagging them with grenades, beatdown of downed enemy, chainsaw from the bottom and etc. All sorts of crazy way to inflict pain on the enemy. There is even a part that allows you to ride a Reaver and a Brumak.

Graphic is as great as ever. Even more detailed graphics, which truly shows the power of the UNREAL Engine.

Story-line makes you want to really kill all the locust horde.

There is surely going to be Gears 3, for all I Know..The Locust Queen is still alive and that to the COG is bad news, but for me, it is good news, which means there is seriously going to be Gears of War 3. Nice!(Imitating Marcus voice)

Overall, i enjoyed the game, it was a fun ride. :P

Finally, I have completed Gears of War 1. It was a long fight with General RAAM,*Phew*...I had to unload like 500+ of bullets with spot-on active reload using the lancer and all my grenades to bring him down.

I just played Gears of War 1, (I know I am a little slow)...But thats not my point, I am in the verge of completing the whole game, but I am having a hard time fighting against General RAAM. He is very very very tough locust, I am wondering if he can be defeated or not? I read from forums that sniper rifle would be the best option against him, but i almost unload all my sniper bullets on him and he doesn't feel the pinch at all.

Guys, any comment/advice for me to defeat this General?

The decision is final. I got myself a Xbox 360 Pro, and you know what...It was amazing. I bought Gears Of War and other new games, and the graphics were stunning. I didn't believe a console could have come this far, in terms of performance. I am running on standard TV input and the graphic was excellent, but if I were to have a HD TV...erm..I am imaging total realism.:P

The downside, this console have quite a history with technical issues. So it needs to be taken care after a lot. Especially with the over-heating issue, so in terms of environment, there must be good amount of air flow and temperature to be kept as cool as possible. But with the game graphics and performance power, it is really saying something.

I have always been a PC Gamer, as I know that PC Game is pushing the limits of current graphics engine. Example, Crysis; Crytek quoted:"They believe that only PC would push the boundries of gaming in terms of graphics...although the consoles games are easier to build since the hardware is fixed". From this, I understand, no matter how good a console game is, it is derived and made from the PC.

But to keep up to newer hardware, it is almost impossible, the live time of the PC hardware is limited, you've got to look out for, the processor, motherboard, video card, RAM, and etc.

The common scenario is, you may have a good processor and sufficient RAM, but your video card is not powerful enough to run the game. If you have the money to upgrade video card, you have to make sure you purchase the correct card to run the game smooth. Most of the time, the upgrade of the video card requires higher voltage power supplys, so you need to spend additional amount of money to get a decent PSU. Its almost like a chain reaction. Worst case scenario is, you bought the video card and just to find out that your motherboard doesn't support it. Haiz...

So for my final conclusion, my temptations to switch to consoles is growing, no need to go through so much hassle of upgrades and installation, just load the DVD in the console and play. In my mind, i am considering the xBox360...

I must say, after so many release of FPS games, nothing beats the gameplay of battlefield 2. I recently reinstalled this game, and i still got addicted to it after stopping for 1 year. Thats amazing, even after i have played Gears of War/Crysis.

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I would like to share some thoughts on one of my favourite games - Gears Of War (PC). Oh yeah, it was hell a lot of fun playing this game especially if you are not in a good mood or you are pissed off with somebody. Haha, should sound interesting/weird why i have this funny idea. But seeing those locust you killed, can be quite a relieve of stress or anger, as you see the blood sprayed onto the screen when hacked them with the chainsaw although the blood (as some might say) are not realistic. But come on, it is just a game.WoHOoo.
