The Celtics are playing very good d on the bulls. Their bench is contributing and their moving the ball pretty well too. Bulls need to take care of the ball and take better shots; they need to take it in more and stop take jump shots. They need to take advantage of the foul situation the Celtics big men are in. If the bulls can keep the score in single digits by the end of the 3rd they'll have a chance to win.

[QUOTE="bl33kda58"][QUOTE="gamergeek545"][QUOTE="JCblueside"][QUOTE="-Tish-"]I like how Phil Jackson said they'd be all right before the fourth quarter started. He needs to get his head out of his ass and actually coach for a change.

You dissing a coach who has 9 rings there buddy.
Yea but he had big help from some small people called Kobe Bryant,Shaq,Michael Jordon, and Scottie Pippen. Jordan wasnt sh1t before Phil Jackson, he was selfish and wasnt a very good teamate. Also shaq needs that triangle offense to be good look at him in phoenix nowAnd Phil Jackson created one of the most popular and successful offensive set - The Triangle Offense.
Phil Jackson didn't create the triangle offense..the basic ideas of the offense was established by Hall of Fame couch Sam Barry which was later refined by Tex Winters..Jackson's assistant coach, who should be in the hall of fame by the way.
I think just because Horry was involved in the play that injured West..people think its a dirty play. if it was any other player it wouldn't be discussed to a degree as dirty play or an act of desperation. the foul looked like a normal everyday foul, but because HOrry was involved its a dirty play..thats so stupid.
Horry set a simple screen, hands down by his body, no push or anything. Of course He's leaning in, otherwise he'd get knocked on his ass....and of course then people would be howling that he flopped for theatrics.
Basketball is a full contact game and unfortunately West was playing with a condition that probably would have kept him on the bench if it were any other time of year. Sucks that he's hurt but silly to say Horry tried to hurt him.
but as a Spurs fan, I was disgusted when they started chanting Horry, Horry, Horry after West got injured. But I think its a pretty common thing in the playoff now a days. a star play gets injured on the road and the crowd cheers and what not. I'm not saying its like that in every arena but its common.. especially with all the rivalries going on between teams now.
[QUOTE="KoFoNiO"][QUOTE="Just_Osmo"][QUOTE="AvIdGaMeR444"]Jason Kidd just got ejected a few minutes ago. Now the Mavs are getting some boos from the home crowd and they are down 19. Pathetic. Just_Osmo
What did he do?
on a fast break he hit pargo in the head and pargo did a somersault in the air and landed hard, refs called a flagrant 2
lol, whats the series at? 2-1? 3-1? I havent looked.
Hornest up 3-1 as of now.
[QUOTE="Beowulf_ATX"]The Pistons fell apart after Brown and Wallace left. This is the same thing that happened last year in against the Cavs. They think their so superior to other teams that they can turn it on, and off when they want. But this is what comes and bites them in the a** when they lose...their so arrogent that they belittle teams that are below them, and just because they one back in 2004 they think their so bad. Watch if they lose, they'll end of saying something like "we didn't do this, we do that" while not giving any credit to the sixers for beating them. tharg617
Which is why they have been a top three team in the league ever since 2004. Now explain how they have fell apart? How many straight trips to the ECF's? The only two teams that have stopped them were Miami and the Cavs. Miami won the title that year, so they couldn't have been that bad. The Cavs pulled an upset and everyone said they were too old to continue anymore championship runs. During this regular season they had the 2nd best record in the league and have beat every western conference team that's in the playoffs at least once (except the Jazz) including blowouts over Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans, and Denver. The series is tied 2-2, (game 6 and 7 are at home) their not in that bad of shape.
As for as them underachieving I agree, however I would never say this team fell apart. That is pretty foolish counting on all that they have done. Oh and Detroit has a lot of respect for the Sixers. They have said they can't overlook this team because they are young and talented. Unlike the Cavs who depend on one player to get it done.
i went over the with saying they fell apart, but after Larry Brown and Ben Wallance left the team, their defense wasn't as good. They don't shut down teams like they use too, I still remember when they went 10 straigth games where they shut teams down under 80 points. Also they failed to reach the finals twice after both brown and wallace left (i know they reached the ECF's 4 years in a row 03-06, which just goes against me about saying they falling apart...whatever) I do agree, that they are still an elite team and one of the most consistent teams in the NBA, but they are also the most cocky team right now in the NBA. By the way, in the NBA you can't overlook teams just because they are a one man team or a young inexperenced one, especially in the playoffs. Like back in the 2004 finals, with the laker and pistons. Everybody I knew thought it was going to be a sweep, the heavy favorite laker "all-star" team against the Pistons, and who came out on top..ya the underdogs. I like the Pistons but their so arrogent that its hard to like them sometimes. The bottom line is, If they just play to what their capable off night in and night out like Boston and the rest of the Elite teams, they wouldn't be in the position they are now.The Suns finally show up. Where was this intensity in the games 2 and 3, I can finally call this series a series now. This was the complete opposite of game 3, the Suns were making all the right plays and they finally changed their defensive set, while the Spurs came out flat and became a jump shooting team. That being said, I still think this win came to late for the suns. The Spurs as i recall are the defending champs and is a veteran team and certainly capable of ending the series right on their own floor. The only thing thats positive about the Suns situation right now is their momentum but i doubt it will carry through game 5.
I kinda felt bad for him to. But hey what can you say, he had bad luck this year. No Yao. If he doesn't get traded then good luck next year.xtn702
I don't like T-mac but I don't dislike him either....he's a good player when he has to be. But i do feel bad for him. I still remember when he was back in Orlando and they were up 3-1 (i think) against the Pistons, and he was so happy that he started talking about finally making it to second round but they ended up losing the series which was heartbreaking for him.
I don't think he should be traded for another team because the Rockets are a solid team with not enough depth. That's because their two leading men could deliver but their supporting cast stinks. They need some better guards to go along with Alston and maybe a strong forward/Center (Deke is an great player but the Rockets need a guy who can back up Yao on the offense and defense, and also fill for him when his out) who can run along and put some strength in their team. It's just too bad they went against Utah. They don't have an anser for Williams and the Jazz's offense.
while i fully understand that the "hack-a-shaq" can make for some downright ugly basketball, why should the Spurs be faulted for exploiting one of the largest weaknesses in Shaq's game? This is a player whom the Suns traded for with the intent of finally, finally makin over the slump (i.e., Tim Duncan and the Spurs). However, in spite of the adjustments Phoenix made and talking about being the better team, the Spurs still have the Suns' number and have been executing wonderfully in this series (beating Phoenix at their own game while maintaining their defensive identity). It may not be always pretty, but Pop and the Spurs are making the Suns pay (which is evident with their 3-0 lead in the seires) by expoliting this weakness and their inability to play defense. Unfortunately for the Suns, it seems as though they acquired some new ones during the regular season.
Also the way the Spurs are running their screen and roll is an absolute clinic. Sorry, but this goes back to D'Antonio getting out coached again, and again. Pop makes a move and D'Antonio counters with "... keep doing what we are doin..just play tougher!!" Their offense isn't the problem but D'Antonio thinks it is as that's the answer to every question about defense the media throws at him. NOt only that, he needs to change his frigging strategy. you don't play the same defense if your continuously getting beat. if the screen and roll is working because you have shaq out there, move him off Duncan for goodness sakes. Force them to do something else other that the same play over and over again.
