I am NOT a quitter!

Are YOU a quitter? We as gamers have played some of the worst products that they passed as 'entertainment'. Though no matter how horrible they are, or even how tremendously difficult they are, I manage to finish all my games. I realized this after finishing LOTR: Conquest. When finishing the game, I kept thinking, "Man, this isn't even fun anymore. It's like a chore to finish", but the funny thing is that I managed to finish the game later that night anyways.

I realized I do that for all of my games. All of my games I finished, except if I don't have time, but that basically means I'll finish it later anyways. I mean even though I hated the story, hated the gameplay, I just feel the need to finish the damn thing. The weird thing is that none of my friends do the same. Is it just me?

I never applied this to games before PS2 by the way. I think I was too young to finish SNES and PSone games. Although I did go back to finish Chrono Trigger.

I mean I finished some of the worst games. I mean really really bad games.

I mean COME ON. Who in the right mind finished THIS game? I bought this game because I loved the original final fights, and was actually expecting the SAME. It WASN'T the same. I freaking CRIED, it was horrible AND the hardest final stage evarr (Okay, not EVARR, but I really don't like escort missions...)

But this also applies to sports games. I mean I'm a sports guy, not a video game sports guy, but I still have to finish the career mode. I just feel like I HAVE to. Though finishing a game doesn't necessarily mean getting 100% of the whole thing. I mean just the core single player portion of the thing, and obviously doesn't apply to the games that go on forever like Gran Turismo, although I did finish every race for GT3. Which was as much fun as it was pain, but I guess it's just me. I finish every game I buy, every game I borrow since the PS2 era.

"I don't like to quit. Call me a dork, but especially on video games. I am NOT a quitter! Are YOU?" :)

Game Consoles, Are Like Instruments.

Gamers, in a way, are like animals. This is old news as we have heard for a while now how we are Lemmings, and Cows, etc.
But what about the consoles? The consoles are in fact, our instruments.

There are thousands if not millions of articles about how video games are becoming a type of an art form, how it fuses the work of an artist, a musician, so on and so forth. So if video gaming is the present art form, then I think it'd be fitting to call the consoles we play on, instruments.

Xbox is like a guitar. An ELECTRIC guitar more specifically.

It has many colours :)

It's not for everybody, especially the music that it plays. For the people that like the type of music(games) it plays, it's obviously a better sound and music than whatever the PS3 can play. It's obviously cheaper than the PS3, but it's fun to play, and it just feels right to hold one. And it's like a guitar because of the strings; It breaks, it snaps, more frequently than a PS3. The most similar thing about the 360 and an Electric Guitar would be the amp. It's an external component that makes loud sounds  .

Now moving on to the PS3, the piano.

PS3s come in PIANO black, coincidence? I think not.

The PS3 is like the piano because not everybody is into piano music, but everyone can agree when someone plays the piano properly, they know it's more artistic, and beautiful. People who listen to guitarists can say "Whoah, that's AWESOME", but people listening to pianists can say "Man, that's beautiful". Obviously the piano is more expensive than the guitar. I mean, you have to agree, even if you're a guitar fanboy, that the piano ITSELF, not the songs, is a masterpiece of an instrument in its own right. Everyone knows that the piano is better made, higher quality, but it's not like everybody wants one.

Now last but not least, the Wii Drums.

Why do you think the Wii contrtollers are like sticks?

The Wii resembles drums. And I think they share more similarities than the other two. When you see someone playing one, you just can't help but say "Hey! I want to try!". It's really easy to get into, and you don't need to take lessons to start playing. It draws most attentions from the kids, but the older people who plays the drums know that there are complicated set pieces and beats that you need to practice forever to master. It requires the most movement, the loudest sound when played, and also the most accident prone out of the three.

I hope you liked my editorial, and if I get enough people that liked it, I have ideas already about handhelds. And for those of you who are wondering, yes I do play all three instruments (The real instruments, and consoles.)

Sincerely,

The Winning Formula.

So listen, this is what I've noticed a while back.

Does any of you remember Crash Bandicoot for the PSone? :o
(You're supposed to say yes)

And do you remember how successful it was? :o
(You're supposed to say yes)

Well think about its games; It's first four games to be precise.
It had Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped,
Well what comes after that? A Kart Racing game for the franchise.
And why is this the winning formula?
Because Naughty Dog has brilliantly copied the formula of the greatest franchise ever:
Mario.

Mario had 3 "Mario Worlds" before it developped the infamous Mario Kart.
So did Crash Bandicoot. Maybe this is why it's so successful.
But it didn't end there.

After Naughty Dog ditched the series,
they moved on to the PS2 where they executed the same plan.
That same plan was called: Jak and Daxter.
There were three Jak games before they made Jak X: Combat Racing.
Jak and Daxter became one of the best series for the PS2.
A coincidence? I think NOT!

So the question is, or the point is;
I'm going to make a bet. Although stupid,

I bet you that Uncharted is going to have a racing game. (I'm joking. -__-)

YLODs and RRODs

I don't want to sound mean, or heartless,
but you people need to STOP.

"Oh no! My PS3 got a YLOD!"
"My Xbox got a RROD! Help!"

It's quickly drowning all the topics in the forums.
I mean, do you really need to announce it to the whole WORLD?
Like seriously, we feel sorry for you,
but you don't need to WANT people to feel sorry for you.
I don't want to say it, but it really is pathetic.

BLOG about it. Like I am.
No need to tell the whole world.
Just because your system broke, doesn't mean people want to hear about it.
If it breaks then it broke.
No need to whine.

Don't just be a gamer.
be a Man.

Cause I know girl gamers wouldn't complain about it on a website ;)

Because The World Isn't Fair.

Biological Terrorisms of Kijuju or the Russian Chimeras.
And the Intelligence of JD ruling over the changed battlegrounds.

There's no such plausabilities that ends the world in happiness.
The World will die, and all those who have been through it.
Because the world is such drenched with anger,
And the hostility embedded in it that creates such unfairness for everbody.

EVERYBODY.

Through life of love and family and friendships,
Even to the world of games where it configures the existence of
'Exclusives'
Is enough evidence that the World has its anger,
And expressing it through multi-billion companies
who treat the people that follow them like crap.

Look around you!
Every game has their developpers subconsciously placed the message of
Apocalypse in our games.
Every game with their own set of weapons and death written all over it.
Because every game express their stories using their blood and gore,
And the fists that they have, and the bullets through their enemies.

Because the World has to conspire.
Because the End has to come eventually.
Because the Now is the destruction, Of all that is peace...

Girls and Gaming.

Is it REALLY hot?

It's pretty vague, LOL, but everywhere I go it seems that people really thing
Girls who 'Game' are pretty hot. Like in the VGA's on SpikeTV, this was the famous quote that Samuel Jackson said, and I loved it.

"If your girlfriend don't game, DUMP her!"

I don't know if you guys care or not,
This was like, 3-4 months after I broke up with my girlfriend.
but I used to have a girlfriend and she was a complete
ANTI - GAMER.
I remember being on the phone with her one day,
andI was playing final fantasy X (I think) and she heard me like,
press the X button on the menu,
and she completely like,
tries to kill me.
LOL.

She WAS hot, i'm not gonna lie,
So after that, people (my guy friends) who are still asking
"So why'd you break up with her, man?"
I would say.
"Cause she doesn't GAME."
but I guess it's kinda true,
Like girls appreciate it if guys have to endure shopping clothes,
carry bags and all those etcetera stuff right?
So I think girls should realize that for us, the Gamespotters,
gaming is important in our lives man,
we can relate everything to gaming.

Now I'm with another girl,
she loves the MGS series
(THANK YOU, HALLELUJAH!)
And I DO think it's an attractive quality man,
I'd love a girl to play co-op in something.
Gaming brings people together.

It doesnt mean every girl who games are hot,
It's just a nice quality to HAVE in a girl.
Sorry, I just had to say this stuff.

Sandbox gaming

I don't get what's so good about these type of games.
GTA IV got a 10/10.
I get why it got such a good score.
But i thought all the missions were repetitive, and the gameplay was a bit slow.

REPETITIVE MISSIONS
. Same with Assassin's creed. It got a great score (810), but it's exactly like Mercenaries 2 which got a horrible rating (510). Mercs 2 described to be repetitive and buggy. And Assassin's creed isn't? Both of them you kill people. ALOT of people. you can try to kill them all, the same way. Or find another way. But then when you kill them, same thing happens, for all of them. Most of them, at least.

TOTALLY OVERUSED
. The Sandbox genre thing got abused just because people love messing around. It's a whole new standard now because when you're playing games like MGS4, you're totally thinking that the game is so LINEAR. People now think that all games should have requirements to have that much freedom.

I know there's a lot of people out there who know that the topic is totally true. But there's the people that just loves these type of games. I ask WHY?
