It's really hard for me to say, because I understand the thought behind all of their hardware decisions. I think if I had to make the call, (and it pains me to say this) it's the N64. The reason it pains me is because some of my favorite games ever were on it (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Tony Hawk 2, Star Wars Racer) and I had countless hours of fun playing it. However, the main reason I label it the worst is because it was during the N64 era that Nintendo started losing its 3rd party support to Playstation. I grew up calling videos games "Nintendo," as in "I'm playing Nintendo," whether it was SNES, Genesis, whatever. The first time I heard a kid refer to the Gamecube as "playing Playstation" I almost died. It is because of this loss of support during the N64 days that the GameCube suffered. I personally like the GameCube and have about fifty games for it, most of which I can recommend. However, if you look at the release cycle for the GameCube, toward the end of its life it had a lot better 3rd party support. I think if Nintendo had come into the GameCube era with the kind of 3rd party support it had during the SNES era, the GameCube would have been the number one console. I mean seriously, imagine if Nintendo hadn't lost Final Fantasy! If the N64 had used CDs instead of cartridges, (and I understand why they didn't, but still) and FFVII had come to the 64, first of all it could have had better graphics, and secondly, GameCube owners wouldn't have had to settle for Crystal Chronicles. So while I still go back and play GameCube, SNES, GameBoy and even NES games sometimes, I never play N64 games again. There just weren't very many good ones. Sadly I see the same thing happening with the Wii. Although Nintendo is making money like it's going out of style (which face it, it is), it's mostly because of first party games. I used to be a huge Nintendo fanboy, but it's hard now. They're great and all, I just can't get behind their games like I used to.
