Future of PC games according to Andy and response.

I don't agree with Andy on the "I can't play the PC games released now" on a old PC. There are some DirectX 9 games as advanced as F.E.A.R that run on a Pentium IV, 2 GB DDR1, and Radeon 9800 XT (2003, first 256 MB GDDR3 card) fine at 1280x768. Isn't that pretty much all the DirectX 9 games out running on Radeon 9800 XT? The DirectX 10 cards all play DirectX 9 games better than DirectX 9 cards. The Geforce 8800 GTX can play all the DirectX 10 games good at 1280x960 with only 128 stream processors. It's true. DirectX 11 cards should play Crysis at 1080p at least 50 fps after 6 months of Catalyst updates and game patches. Other DirectX 10 games aren't as slow as Crysis such as UT7 runs great on Geforce 8800 GTX at 1280x960. I guess the fact nobody living in social democracies like to admit is, Americans got the money, we will upgrade (exactly like "Got car, will travel remember"?). I'll be set for the next four years of DirectX 11 with either a Radeon HD 5970 or Geforce GTX 380, but I'll upgrade GPUs again. It sounds like I'm buying a Radeon HD 5970.

Now on the game decision, I guess after my Forza Motorsport 3 purchase, the next best game won't be out in February, Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect won a RPG of the Year award, that's why. Pocket karma.
