what people seem to want is a console that dominates the market that has all the technology and capability of current generation consoles (read: not wii) so that developers will have no choice but to make all their games for that system, and buyers can feel secure knowing they have the console that won't get left out on exclusives.

from what I can see though, the only games either console is really missing are the ones that are bankrolled by the console manufacturer, so really as long as you don't own a wii, you should be fine until the next round of consoles.

Then it would still be the same PS3 it always has been. :? And Sony doesn't seem to care whether they're in first or last - with the PS2, even though they were in first, they acted as if they were last, and now when they are last with the PS3, they're acting as if they're in the lead.

Anyway, we would get more and better 3rd party support and cheap greedy companies like Square Enix might give us back some of our game (I'm looking at you Star Ocean IV and Infinite Undiscovery :evil:!!!)

If PS3 gets to be number 1 in sales i do would feel good, because that would mean game developers would consider making more games for PS3, and maybe then we could get games that fully use PS3 hardware, not those multiplatform games that are limited because of considering a 360 version

RROD warranty is 3 years, so your xbox is still under warranty... anyway, you don't need to get both now. Why don't you get Fallout 3 and play through that when you send your Xbox in for repair or replace it or whatever, and then in a month or so get Fable 2.

Both games are must-plays :)
