Just when you think you have found the latest thing out there, you plunk down your hard earned money to buy a video card that has just become obsolete! What gives?! Video cards with 2000 cores? 6 Ghz GDDR7 RAM? 5 GigaWatt PSU's? Where is it going to end?

I finally got my Wii to update... I had to stay up until 3AM and then try to download about 10 times. I have played about 10 times since my last update... Due to programming classes, work, etc. I can't find time to play with my Wii! I am looking forward to working with Flash and ActionScript 3.0 this upcoming semester, so that should be fun. SQL Server is NO fun!

I recently bought a new laptop with Vista Premium on it. It seems to do ok, but with all the eyecandy the system runs like a two legged dog. Unfortunately, it is a Dell laptop, and driver updates don't come out often at all. Fortunately, I am able to get and modify driver updates. My Wii is kinda stuck right now. It keeps saying I need to update and won't display the news channel, but the software version is 3.0U Oh well, no time to play games anyway... I've been keeping busy going to college and working fulltime.

Would it be too much to ask for Microsoft to come thru with their promise of a secure and bug free OS? I mean XP was getting a good bit better, but now Vista is out and the hackers are salavating.

Got my Wii on launch day, or "lunch day" as some people call it.  Had to wait in line for about 6 hours, then plopped down some cash on the console and an extra Wii-mote and nunchuk.  I also snagged LOZ Twilight Princess.  I have been playing with my Wii almost constantly since then.  I think I am about to go blind.  My wife complains that I would rather play with my Wii than her... ;)  Seriously, as far as control scheme and immersion, Nintendo's Wii has got it licked.  I think I'm going to get Madden '07 today... Don't let my wife know... LOL

I just finished HL:Blue Shift and it was ok... A little too short.  One of the games I am looking forward to is Perfect Dark Zero.  It's out on the 360.  Hopefully they will release it on the regular xbox.  I finished HL2 and Halo2 was pretty easy.  I can't wait for the expansion for HL2.  My daughter likes to play Mario so she can't understand the games I play. ;)

Just started Road to Hill 30. Pretty neat game. Accurately simulates real-life combat. A definite must buy!

--- just finished Halo. The ending was anti-climactic. I would have thought the ending would be better. The last 2 levels were way too easy.

--- finished Doom3 a few weeks ago. It should be called Doom Flashlight. It sux that you have to change from your flashlight and fire blind then change back. Back and forth... That sucked
