I am interested, but still puzzled by the Wii U's exact offering. Personally I havent seen any killer app game that I have to have this year for the system to make me purchase it.

Additionally, this year is a tough year to launch with too many great games like RE6, H4, ACIII, Hitman, Dishonored, Sly 4, BL2, and more coming for systems I already own, it is hard to justify a new console purchase without some big "holy crap, I have to have it" completely new kind of experience. Not to mention the plethora of games that are announced and planned for next year most of which do not have a mention of coming to this new system.

I am still in a wait and see mode, who knows, they could have a Metroid lined up for launch, right? Maybe? Maybe I am just too old. Hehe. I am sure it will do well though.

Nintendo needs to rekindle the fire that they had with other Japanese developers. They irked a lot of folks the wrong way sticking with cartridges for the 64, and as a result, the majority of prominent developers jumped ship to focus on the PS1. Nintendo has lacked major 3rd party support (think NES, Super NES quality/quantity) since the 64. The Gamecube, did bring back some of that support (ReMake, RE4, Tales of Symphonia, MGS TS, etc) I love Nintendo, don't get me wrong. I was there for the Nes, for everything else that they have put out. But I would be lying through my teeth if I said that the Wii was my favorite console this generation. But, I am in no way classifying it as a failure. I am anxious to see what this new system is capable of, but most importantly, Nintendo needs to re-strengthen their 3rd party support and schedule of releases. Nintendo, you need to have the absolute wow factor and killer apps ready right out of the gate for this system. No more of that "Zelda/Mario is coming out a few months after the system is released" You need to have stellar games built from the ground up for this system specifically ready on day one. Nintendo needs to rekindle the fire with Japanese developers, their own brands, and strengthen 3rd party. They need to really reach out to the "day one" Nes/Snes crowd, who have mostly moved on to PS3/360. This, will be interesting.

Yeah if only they still had Rare. Banjo would have been a badass character. Just Imagine it! Other good ones would be, Wonderboy/Master Higgens, Alex Kidd, Shinobi, Space Harrier, Mega Man of course, Bonk, Bomberman, Birdo, Ninjar, Keith Courage, Robotnik, Simon Belmont, Rygar, Karnov... old school all the way!! Go Smash!

Freaking Capcom... They could have added some of the best 3rd party Characters to this game. Ah well... But after RE4 going multi plat the Big N didn't want em.
