ive got the same year and just a few weeks ago, i got it back from repairs for the first time. so in your situation, you're kinda damned if you do, damned if you dont. so far, we dont really know if the newer models are fixed or not, but it may be worth a shot. if youve got the money to spend, then i would say to go for it. in the meantime though, just make sure that it has VERY good breathing room. you want it to be as cool as possible.

[QUOTE="lawlessx"]theres a reason they picked the name "360" you knowSigns_of_evil

yes, because when you see it, you turn 360 degrees and walk away.

hahahahahh YES! classic

If you turn 360 degrees as your looking at something, you will still be looking at it after you have turned.

no kidding?!?!?!?! wow, no way! sorry "killerfist", i thought i was laughing with you, but according to some people, were idiots. damn shame too, because i thought i did pretty well in calculus...

ive heard the screens mess up in the sun is this also true with the 2nd gen and also i leave my ipod in my car while im at school but in the glove department if i did that with a zune would it mess up the screen??svandy88

i actually leave mine in the car all the time, 99% of the time lying directly in the sun. like i said, ive never had a problem with the screen cracking. it didnt boot once because it was too hot though, but it does the same thing when its too cold. this does sound like neglect, but still... 1.5 years and still running strong

wait my first generation zune is suppose to break in one year? I've only had it for 2 weeks :cry:Ligh_warrior

dont worry about it dude, those are only for people who dont take care of them. i got my 30 gig one week before they were released in stores because i was the MP3 rep at circuit city. a year and a half later... no problems, the battery still runs great and its used every day. about the screen cracking... ive heard about it, but has never affected any zune of mine or the zunes of anyone else i know. a simple solution could be to not leave it out in the sun for a long time.
