[QUOTE="Lilac_Benjie"]Oblivions combat system sucks. Maybe Bethesda where inspired by the Wii.Lilac_Benjie

Please. That was one of the few things drastically improved over Morrowind. Did you ever play Morrowind. Swing, swing, swing, WHIFF!, swing. Great stuff.

I played Daggerfall and Arena before Morrowind was even released. The Elder Scrolls has never had good combat. It's like slow Hexen.

This is the trailer that got me into Elder Scrolls. It came with my Skynet CD. :P

Yes, I've been playing the Elder SCrolls since the beginning as well - since Arena.

Oblivion is very combat focused (and that's why it has so many detractors... they say it took the depth and lore out and focused too much on combat,) it improved the system.

cool....though im a little scpetical.

that was awfully fast....i wonder just how well the engine is taking advantage of the wii. it can take years to develop an engine, something to get the best out of the hardware even more so. i wonder if this is just a quick and dirty job or did the devs actually do everything they could to squeez as much as possible out of the wii in that short time.

also what exactly can it do? does it perform better than the morrowind engine?

still its also surprising that other middleware companies havent taken advantage of this. UE2 can run on wii but thats basically the xbox1 version.....epic have no interest in developing any wii tech. same with ID. crytek are only messing around....chances are they wont release any wii engine.

itll certainly make life easier on wii and will hopefully help devs get better results out of it. certainly a welcome addition.

Morrowind used Gamebryo.

Oblivion has extremely fluid combat.

Last word.

That's 2.

Games using Gamebryo on the Wii will look just like those that used it on the XBox.

Thank you.

You're welcome. I knew you'd feel happier in your dream world.

Weren't those your last words, by the way? Darn.

You don't think they will? Yeah, they could look a little worse I suppose, I wouldn't put it past any of those developing on the Wii.

And if this were my dream world I'd be alone, rolling this big donut, with this snake wearing a vest.

On TV's under 50", it's nearly impossible to tell the difference. This is true.

For larger front projection setups this ceases to be true, though.

lilboy561

yo do you have a projector if you do then thats cool i have a 1080p infocus projector

No, I don't (I wish I did.)

I have demoed many units though.

I just can't afford one right now, and I don't have the space for a 100" screen.
