I was just done reading the comments under the Razer Christine article and was surprised with all the hate towards Razer, primarily accompanied by love for Logitech. Is Razer really that much worse? Ever since I got fed up with faulty mice froma random companies ( Logitech included) I turned to the Razer Imperator mouse. I haven't had the slightest need to change. It is simply the best mouse I have ever tried. My Razer Electra headphones also work like a charm, especially when combined with Razer Surround.

So I am asking, is Razer that bad in the eyes of gamers? I mean, yeah, the products are rather pricey, but you clearly get your money's worth.

A good motherboard is really anything above $140, at $140- Extreme4 Z87, $160- Gigabyte Z87 UD3H, $180- Asus Z87 Pro if your budget is higher I can find something.

I was considering Gigabyte Z87 UD3H as a motherboard, I like the idea of 10 USB 3.0 built in. Is it worth it though?

Hey guys, I am going to build my first gaming PC, wanting it to last for about 4-5 years from now and still be able to run at High graphic settings. I really need any suggestion I can get.

I have the same PC (not built by myself), with some minor upgrades for about 7 years, and it still is able to run Skyrim at Medium settings. I am hopping for something like that.

Right now:

For Graphics, I am between GTX 780 and 770

For CPU, pretty set for i5 4670K

That's all I got, I would appreciate any suggestions and/or corrections you can throw my way. Also, I have no idea about motherboards n' stuff so a little enlightenment would be a huge help!

So I have been a regular GS user for about 4 years, making it my basic means of learning the news about gaming and my go-to source for reviews and legit opinions. However, I rarely posted anything on the site.

The total overhaul of the sight is definitely a HUMONGOUS improvement. Hell, I am now motivated to post in the forums! The whole feel of the site is improved. Different and alien for some users, but improved nonetheless. Some people complain about the new forums and the new review system, but in my book this just needs some getting used to and everything will be golden. The new video player is also an improvement over the past version and videos are more pleasant and easier to watch. I am a fan of the new forum and comment rules aswell.

Two minor complaints (both of which I belive will eventually be vaporised) are the time required to load pages on the site, and also the dysfunctionality of the middle click open-in-new-tab feature when selecting a game from the games drop-down menu on the navigation bar of the site.

What I belive the site to be lacking, is a dedicated official application for mobile platforms (Android, iOS etc.). I am not suggesting that the mobile version of the site is missing anything, but it surely is not what an app could be. I (such as many other community members) am a smartphone/ tablet user, and would just love a GS application. Posting on the go and reading reviews and news while being on the bus on a dedicated virtual environment would be fascinating.

What do you guys think?

I like the choices more in this game. They feel like everything you do has an impact on the other characters' attitude towards you, and that you control the story more than the way you did in TWD. It feels more Heavy Rain-ish than TWD did. And that is definitely an improvement.

Skyrim. To begin with, it is one of my favourite games. I love the freedom it offers, I like the way you can just take a walk in the woods and discover a Necromancer fortress with sweet loot and spelbooks inside. And most of all, the modding community is hands down one of the best- if not THE BEST- out there. Creating your own character from the ground up is just amazing, and casting epic spells while you began from a simple flame is rewarding as f***.

On the other hand, I have heard so many good things about TW2 that I really wanted to get into it. And belive me I tried. Three times. And I uninstalled the game after 3-5 hours of gameplay each time. I loved the visuals. I enjoyed the story. But it didn't have that something needed to keep me invested in the game like Skyrim did.

So there you have it:

  • Visuals: Vanilla TW2< Modded Skyrim
  • Combat: Same, there are some quality mods out there
  • Story: TW2
  • Freedom: Skyrim

Half-life 2! I haven't played it so far but really wanted a chance to do so. When it was on sale on Steam I just had to buy it!
