After spending sometime with the latest epic game GEARS OF WAR I find myself with mixed feelings on the title. I was one of those few gamers out there that bought the 360 mainly because of the hype I heard from video game retail sellers and people I knew who had a 360 with the orginal gears game. After buying the game I wasn't disappointed at the least with it. In fact I spent the next four months or soo just totally obsorbed in the multiplayer aspect of it. I wouldn't call myself one of the best gamers but when It came to gears I had the habit of picking up the shotty and just appearing out of no where and blowing my opponents to little tiny dog chow bite sized pieces. I loved it, I remember I could just hang back and wait until my team was down to one person and just run a mock and take out three or soo people on my own. I found out the more the players on my team sucked the more fun I had with the game because they would die quickly and I would just run in right behind them and take my competition down with quick easy motions. Of course I would find myself being dominated by the more hardcore gamers that did nothing but eat sleep and play gears once in awhile. I remember one game I had a player tell me he had been playing ranked matches for the last 11 hours and he was hoping to go another 11 to rise his rank a few spots. At the time I loved the game but then and now I am still suprised that someone has the interested enough to just play for that long just to see your name move two spots on a list of maybe a million or soo people. Oh well I have A.D.D and video games help me concentrate for awhile but sitting in one place for that long just seems insaine to me.
Anyways, I think I'm getting away from the subject matter entirely. To get to the point I gotta say after completing the game on the easiest difficulty so far I feel that the solo story mode was a huge improvement over the first in length wise and play ability. This isn't a game that the gamer will have to be familar with to get into. Truely its a pretty easy pick up and play game which I think was epics plan from the get go. Which I think is good but also bad as well, I get a sense of water down Halo 3 flashbacks when I really ponder how the experence was for me the first couple of hours of game play. Heck when I fully ponder over the entire experence of the game I feel that epic could've really had a great thing going for them if they would of stuck with it and gave the game another year or soo to put more content into the story campaign. Anyways I do believe I'll stop right there and continue on with my thoughts with a review of the game before I get too carried away. Also I wanna beat the game on insainity before I my review soo I can fully experence the games ai at its mightiest.... Stay tuned readers have a good one....
