Bladez009's forum posts
This is THE most epic flop of the year for xbox fans, and there hasn't been more than a post or two about it. It's great to watch the forums practically flood when games like Lair or Heavenly Sword flop, but now it's all talk about how "reviewz dont matter cuz dey arent important!1!!". Granted Mass Effect is still probably amazing, it's funny to see how overun these forums are with xbox lovers.
P.S. GAMESPOT NEEDS MORE COWBELL

Guys, the whole point of this thread was simply that Gamespot forums are heavily used by xbox fangirls. I've said the game is still great and its only the biggest flop of the year for lemms! But still... GAMESPOT NEEDS MORE COWBELL!

It obviously scored well because of it's simplistic, "keep it simple" feel, which can be enjoyed by both little Timmy and grandma alike (exageration, but you know what i mean). If Bungie wasn't owned by M$, they would have ported it to the Wii a long time ago. Perfect audience for a "built for the casuals FPS".
All the lems that have little halo competitions in thier basements and say:"I'm good at Halo", is the equivalent to a child saying "I finished my pop-up learn-to-count Sesame St. book"
The Halo franchise is a series that was built for the masses just like WoW. Similar to WoW's approach, Halo is an easy to learn game with bright colors that are attractive to any non-gamer. Unfortunately, neither game is considered to be a heavily skill based mmo or fps.
Halo catered to FPS virgins by adding in 3rd person shooter elements and even introduced auto-aim(Halo 2) for the children. It also lacks the fast response (or twitch) gameplay such as in the Unreal series, or the tactics of the Counterstrike series (the most played online game in history). These factors alone take much of the fps skill out of Halo that would allow it to compete with the giants of the fps genre.
Do people enjoy getting destroyed online by prepubesent children who just picked up the game for the second time, while they squeal at you over xbox live? Apparently based on Halo's sales i'd say that's a resounding "Yes!".
Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3. But after seeing devs focus too much on graphics, it seems either the gameplay suffers (Lair), or the game is just too short (Heavenly Sword).
After downloading and playing Folklore, I must say this is the best demo i've played on the PS3. The graphics are superb and the camera and controls work very well. There is a surprising amount of strategy involved in the fighting and you can switch up your folks to cater to each fight on the fly.
You also have to be quick on your feet. For example, if you want to rake in experience points faster, you can dodge attacks while trying to reap multiple folks souls at once.
If you have time, create a European account (only takes 5 mins) and definitely check this game out. After playing the demo, it's now on my must buy list :D
More grey *yawn* oh wait there's a bit of red  *yawn ywan*cyprus646
Sounds like you've been sitting too close to the tv while playing your Wii. All of those fruity colors must have blinded your ability to view the realistic, gritty, post apocalyptic style graphics of Killzone!
I can't wait til they release some daytime screenshots to shut ppl like you up :P
